married in 2007 and openly gay. margey winters walked inside a closed door meeting with her wife in fairmont attended by students and parents and alumnae in connection with the decision not to renew the religious director's contract. organizers say she is gay the school knew that when they hired that. >> it's discrimination. it's discrimination of anything, color, race, sexual preference. there's no difference i teach in my home or my family. >> reporter: the school principal said our school roadwayses the authority of the archbishop of philadelphia especially in the teaching of religion. to continue as a catholic school mercy must comply with the teachings. the archdiocese said it's a

private catholic school and said the decisions are made without the oversight of the archdiocese. the school has received state money if she was fired for sexual orientation, that could change the decision.
