crews were working overnight after a number of people lost power. there are repaster to make across the -- there are repairs to make across the area. you can hear the winds on the cell phone video a funnel cloud spotted 25 to 30 feet above the ground at new castle delaware. on dock drive a side of a building was ripped open. walls collapsed in two commercial buildings here's. >> we believe heavy straight line wind or tornado. >> reporter: another funnel cloud was spotted in berks county. "action news" viewer sent this to us. about a mile from there heavy damage at blue mountain elementary school. strong winds ripped the roof off the building. two people got out safely. in media this enormous tree came crashing down snapping a utility pole and knocking out power around the 400 block of kirk.

>> i was looking out the window to see on you the power lines were down at our house. it came flying and almost got on my foot it was scary. >> reporter: crews are doing work at the scene here in media. the national weather service could be called out to investigate where the funnel clouds were spotted if they are contacted by authorities. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> damage to are a mobile home park in new castle delaware, forced evacuations last night. a shelter is open at william pen high school in new castle. in hockessin a woman said her house was hit by lightning. in king of prussia heavy rain caused flash flooding. two cars got stuck in rising water near the mall.

york city, rob? >> reporter: good morning, guys, if you think about it, this is taking place in new york city, but it's a national event america did fall in love with the team, an incredible group of role models and athletes. they feel the love new york style. new york has been scrambling to put this together since making the announcement on tuesday they were going ahead on short notice try to pull the parade off floats have been built streets closed and media has arrived. the parade kicks off at 1 is a.m. afterwards there will be a special ceremony at city hall in new york that's where i am right now. it will be hosted by robin roberts. a cool fact all 23 members of the team will be here. they will be on several different floats soaking up the love from thousands expected to hit the streets. all this costing the city
