weeks around the delaware valley. we've had humidity that feels like miami as opposed to the delaware valley. it's going to be a gorgeous weekend start to finish. there's the view the ben franklin bridge. a few clouds around this morning. it should clear out nicely this afternoon. 74 degrees in philadelphia. trenton coming in at 68. a comfortable 62 in allentown. reading, 66. lancaster, 68. poconos barely crackerring the 60-degree -- cracking. 60-degree mark. satellite and radar, we have a small little area of disturbed weather pushing across the delmarva this morning. you can see the cloud line, it's south of interstate 80. we'll see clouds this morning very high, thin clouds, later this afternoon it is out of here and we'll see the return of sunshine. across the delaware bay region we have showers pushing through cape may cumberland counties,

new jersey, most of it is light will be out of here in a couple of hours. clouds and sunshine, 88 degrees, tomorrow hotter, 90 degrees, the stormy weather pattern unfortunately returns next week. i'll have the details coming up in just a bit. >> eva? >> two tornados have been confirmed in the delaware valley including one that destroyed an elementary school, crews will be at the blue mountain school all weekend long. a twister slammed into the school thursday night. the wind ripped the roof right off and left damage to the building itself. the principal was inside at the time and got out safely. she said there was little warning that a tornado was about to hit. >> i heard hard rain, it happens, we've had a rainy summer. i heard the wind and, it was like oh, wow. when the ceiling tile started flying, i knew it was more than

strong winds. >> the principal escaped with bumps and bruises some say she had a guardian angel looking over her. the hope is that the students return to a sister school around the corner when classes resume next month. a pole was snapped in a tornado here in delaware. a mobile home park was left tattered by the strong winds of the f-0 twister. three homes were destroyed. you can stay ahead in the changes in the weather this weekend 6abc.com/weather. follow our meteorologist also on facebook and twitter. new this morning a truck and car collided in montgomery leaving several people injured. the truck landed on its side at black rock road at hallow road in upper providence.

four people were hurt, they were evaporated after 11:00 p.m. police are determining who or what caused this crash. police are searching philadelphia's crescentville section for a gunman around 9:45. a man is shot multiple times including in the face. it happened on the 500 block of hill creek drive at hill creek apartments. the man was rushed to einstein in critical condition. there are startling details about dylan roof who went on a killing spree. the director of the fbi said the shooting should have never happened. the admission came hours after the confederate flag was removed from the capitol grounds for the last time. >> reporter: a stunning heartbreaking admission from the fbi director about last month's massacre in a carolina church. the accused killer should not have been able to buy a gun.

the national background check system failed. roof who killed 9 people at a historic black church had an arrest. information that should have prevented him to buy weapon. but that information failed to surface during the background check. the fbi admitting the painful lapse hours after the confederate battle flag came down from the grounds of the south carolina state house. a historic moment set in motion by the killings which have been labeled a hate crime. >> if we can do this in south carolina we can do this all over the world. >> reporter: we're moving forward like we haven't in 40 years. >> reporter: many victims were at the state house and thousands of others who witnessed the day many thought would never come. democrats trying to seize the

lynch. it is expected to bring $10 million to the local economy. federal agents raided city hall. the associated press reports the investigation may be related to political consultant michael flek -- fleck and his employees. he was the campaign manager for reading. pennsylvania budget stalemate is in it's 11th day. tom wolf wants to raise taxes to wipe out a long term deficit and increase education aid. he said he is open to doing that withouting taxes if it is possible. wolf retow the republican spending plan which included no new tax because it felt short of the education funding goals.
