>> we have breaking news i-95 a three vehicle crash has forced the shut down of the southbound lanes. >> take a look at this, chopper 6 is live over the scene near the commodor barry bridge in chester, delaware county. >> good morning everyone, 6:00 a.m., thursday, karen rogers is filling in for david. matt pellman has more on the crash. >> reporter: a big situation we're watching on this thursday morning. the city of chester southbound side multiple vehicles involved in the crash. they are damaged too. this is the southbound direction

approaching the commodor barry bridge. one minute ago the left lane is getting by the accident scene of of -- we have fluids on the roads. we're seeing the backlog coming down from ridley park through this point. let's go to the next camera shot, this is the shot we're watching with the with all the southbound lanes blocked now the left lane is getting by toward the delaware state line. if you want to avoid the backlog stay on 13 or 295 or farther to the north on baltimore avenue pike route 1 the media bypass is another alternate. we have situation in king of prussia overturned tractor-trailer, carrying trash the trash spilled out from the ramp from the schuylkill expressway on to 202 the southbound lanes below. so 202 is closed coming south of the king of prussia mall. you can see the police blocking

the southbound lanes and the ramp remains blocked, as well. sewell you'll see delays on 202 and the schuylkill expressway westbound. if you're coming west on the schuylkill expressway jump on 476 head down to route 30 run that along the main line 252 to 202 or head north up to the pennsylvania turnpike and run that westbound instead. one other big issues is the suspension of the lansdale doylestown regional rail line between lansdale and doylestown it is running between lansdale and center city, but with delays. after all that, you've got good news, i hope. >> reporter: everybody needs good news, what a difference a day makes. it's breezy and beautiful. take a look at the numbers 50 degrees in poconos. 64 in millville. 66 in ac a cool breeze out of the northeast. the dewpoints are down from yesterday.

reporting being hit by green lasers on the approach to newark international airport. the pilots were heard contacting air traffic control warning the towers. the tower decided to change the approach path to avoid where the lasers were coming from. it's a federal offense using a laser. white house plans to bring internet to low income housing in philadelphia and camden. katherine scott has more on how president obama plans to ease the digital divide. >> reporter: philadelphia and camden are among the 30 cities. president obama called high speed internet a necessity, the program will give access to more

people. it's called connect home it's a program geared toward bringing access to high speed broadband internet to everyone. president obama says at schools and at home, the internet is a necessity. the digital divide puts people without at a disadvantage. >> it's not a luxury it's a necessity. you cannot connect with today's economy without having access to the internet. >> reporter: connect home will begin in 27 cities. philadelphia and camden are two of them. 90% of householdses -- households headed by college graduate have it. >> while high speed internet access is given assumed for millions of americans it's still out of reach for too many people. especially in low income and rural communities.

trouble, rough time on two major roads. >> let's get matt pellman in there to sort things out. >> reporter: what's in the water this morning, this is the scene in king of prussia. the ramp schuylkill expressway westbound, to 202 southbound look at the trash spilled all over the ramp and the southbound lanes of 202 this means you cannot get from the schuylkill expressway to southbound 202. if you're coming south. mall on 202 itself you can't get by heading toward exton and west chester. big problems we head to the maps let's talk about the ideas how to get around this mess. on the wednesday of the schuylkill expressway you want to bail by the time you get to the blue route. then head either south or north. south to route 30 run to 252 to 202. north on the blue route run that westbound toward route 29. touch e-z pass exit there and

get down to 202. as we said that's not the only problem. the accident on i-95 southbound chopper was above this in chester just a few minutes ago it was a multi-vehicle crash southbound approaching the commodor barry bridge that was blocking multiple lanes looking live in the camera the lanes are open once again, traffic is moving slowly. this was the scene a little bit ago. we had fluid all over the roadway, they had to throw sand down, the tow truck got in there and cleared things out relatively swiftly. southbound is moving once again but slowly with speeds 7 miles per hour. you may want to stay local on chester on 13 or 295. wires down by yardley continental tavern. septa rail line not running

you're not getting by, if you normally travel 202 southbound coming away from norristown and king of prussia coming away from the mall heading toward paoli and exton you're not getting by. you can see the backed up traffic waiting to get on to 422 from the schuylkill expressway westbound. let's hit the maps i want to talk about the alternates. if you're coming west on 7 you normally use the closed ramp. run 476 to route 30 in villanova and on the main line 252 or back on the turnpike westbound and exit 29 if you have e-z pass and use that to get to 202. meanwhile, we had the crash on i-95 southbound approaching the commodor barry bridge. this is the lingering delay that's starting to ease. stick with it if you're traveling south through delco it's slowing but getting better

four young men who tried to break into a home with the homeowner trapped inside. katherine scott has more. >> reporter: that surveillance footage is very clear. tips have been rolling in since they released the surveillance footage. you can see the terrifying ordeal that that happened on tuesday night. the home security system caught very clear images of the heavily armed men. this happened in west mount airy. the first suspect knocks on the door the homeowner answers and the suspect pulls out a sawed-off shotgun. the homeowner locked the door and another man rushed up with a handgun. they are joined by two more men and one wearing a mask. police don't know why they

called police. there were reports of a second person who suffered minor injuries at the scene. no arrests have been mailed. new from the lehigh valley. the fbi is investigating an attempted firebombing at the office of a district judge in north hampton county. they called 911 when they smelled gasoline. police avid and found shattered glass and material consistent with a homemade explosive device. nobody was you are hurt. indicate -- caitlyn jenner received the arthur ash award. she choked up while thanking her children for their support. his # 8-year-old mother -- her 88-year-old mother was in

looking at the center city skyline. bright blue skies gorgeous this morning. 64 degrees the current temperature and many of the suburbs just in the 50s, you can look at the dewpoint. 54 degrees, it was nearly 70 yesterday, it's a huge change in the humidity that's dropped that's with the winds that have shifted out of the north picking up a breeze at 13 miles per hour. it's a coofl -- cool breeze. we have clouds in south jersey and delaware, they will erode. to the west we have nothing going on. that area of low pressure that brought the rain off the coastline you can see it sitting and spinning out there. as you look at the day ahead you'll get sunshine, clouds here and there. 8:00 a.m., 69 degrees, 11:00. 75. 2:00 p.m., 81 degrees, feeling nice 5:00 p.m. 82 degrees which is below average for this time of the year. 82 in the city. 80 in allentown and reading. 79 in lancaster.

6:44 chopper 6 is live over one of the busiest interchanges in the region in king of prussia. we have an overturned tractor-trailer which was carrying trash which is spilled all over the place on the roadway. >> let's go over to matt pellman he's got the latest with what's going on, and other places that are having trouble this morning. good morning. >> reporter: it's not been a stellar start to the plus, we had a crash on i-95 in delco. that's gone, but this is far from gone. the trash truck overturned on the ramp from the schuylkill expressway to 202 southbound spilling the trash on to the lanes of 202 southbound as you can see there. not only is the ramble closed you're not getting by -- the ramp closed you're not getting

by, but the southbound lanes of 202 completely blocked with the mound of trash south of the mall. if you're heading on 202 you're not getting through. i have another shot for you we're seeing a backlog approaching 202 up to the ramp that's blocked. the delay son 76 is not too bad but we expect it to grow. if you're coming west on the schuylkill expressway i would bail for the blue route. take the blue route northbound toward the turnpike, you can run the turnpike westbound toward the e-z pass on the interchange route 29 and take that to 02 or go to 476 southbound and run the main line paoli to 252 and take that to 202. that's the situation in king of prussia we're watching that. a crash in yardley that brought down wires by the continental tavern. avoid north main street.

the normal delays are starting to form like here on i-95 southbound approaching cottman from the betsy ross bridge into girard. the ben franklin bridge busy from the mid span to 8th and vine with the round the clock construction in the right lane. >> you're taking look at a helmet cam footage a driver punched a man on a motorcycle and shoved his female passenger until the biker was able to fight back. >> call the cops right now. help. anyone? the victim pleaded with witnesses to call 911 as the biker pinned the driver to the ground. it turned out the motorcycle cut off the car while it changed lanes, that's considered aggressive driving but it's not excuse for the violence. >> the hearing for dylan roof
