and he is -- he essex county, new jersey. accuweather feels this should push on by to the southeast. but it could clip new castle and kent counties in delaware and get as far north as the delaware bay region. once it pushes through it's a combination of sun and clouds. it will be hot and sticky, the temperature, 90 degrees, it will feel like 95 or 96. there's a late-day shower or thunderstorm redeveloping with the heating. we have a heat advisory sunday from noon to 6:00 p.m. temperatures range from 100 to 105 up and down the i-95 corridor. i'll talk about that? just a few minutes and when there's relief in the forecast and possibly cooler numbers by week's end. >> breaking news, we have

learned that a sailor who was injured at a shooting at a military installation in chattanooga, tennessee has died. randall smith was married with three young daughters who are not yet school age. we are learning about the gunman and his possible motive. chief investigator brian ross reports. >> reporter: the computers were seized from his home to determine what drove the young man who neighbors considered an all american kid. >> it is my experience it was an isis inspired attack. >> reporter: officials tell abc news a 7 month stay in the middle east by mohammand youssef abdulazeez could have been a turning point. >> why did he go overseas? >> reporter: from what authorities have learned his

transformation happened in rapid fashion. friends who ran into saw nothing out of the ordinary. >> i saw him two weeks ago completely normal. >> reporter: for all the smiles he grew up in a family with strife. court documents allege his father beat her and children and threatened to take a second life as permitted by islamic law. in a post, mohammand youssef abdulazeez wrote life is short and bitter. three days later the deadly attack. fbi said he had no warning mohammand youssef abdulazeez was thinking about violence, a stealth terrorist. >> these individuals are learning to avoid fbi and the surveillance. there was no opportunity to stop the individual from carrying out the attack. >> reporter: brian ross, abc news new york.

>> a septa cct vehicle has crashed in philadelphia. it happened at 60th and landsdown in overbrook. septa said the driver and three passengers suffered minor injuries. they are being checked out at the hospital. no other vehicles were involved. because of the crash the route 10 trolley passengers are being shuttle bussed. new this morning a young woman shot in the head is in the hospital. police are looking for the person who pulled the trigger. 26-year-old victim was shot on the 2700 block of north 7th street in north philadelphia. police officers rushed her to presbyterian hospital. she is in stable condition. no word on the reason for the shooting. a gunman shot a worker at a center city book store. police found a major piece of evidence. they say surveillance video shows the gunman casing danny's midnight concessions prior to shooting.

at 3:45 the gunman returned and two workers were inside. he shot a worker in the back. that person is critically wounded. the gunman did not make any demands before shooting. the detectives are talking to the other worker as they try to find any other clues. philadelphia police are working to identify a man shot by officers after he pulled out a gun. the suspect is hospitalized in critical condition and had no i.d. on him. "action news" reporter, jeff chirico has the details. >> reporter: this is the loaded gun police fear was about to be used against them. this is the bullet casing that may have prevented. the detectives investigating the shooting scene at 8th and fairmont where hours earlier the officers responded to a man walking around with a gun. >> the officers asked five or six times for the man to show his hands. the male refused. the male grabbed his weapon and started pulling it from his waistband. >> reporter: one officer fired a

shot hitting the suspect in the chest. they got the semi automatic handgun from him. >> it appears to be a justifiable shooting, not only was it a radio call and police arrived, the suspect had a gun in plain view and refused to show his hands. >> i think the police do a good job they are in a tough spot. >> you look at ferguson and other neighborhoods in america you got to go with the police on things like this. >> reporter: the officer who shot the suspect was transported to internal affairs and is being questioned. jeff chirico channel 6 "action news." >> authorities have identified the man who was hit and killed by a septa regional rail train yesterday. 1-year-old john glassnor of

police say a woman answered the door and screamed at police and slammed the door. officers called for backup and board of education the home. a 41-year-old man was found shot in the neck and hospitalized in critical condition. a woman and teenage girl were taken into custody for questioning. a police officer was taken to the hospital for a shoulder injury. now to the brutal murder of a recent drexel graduate. jasmine wright was beaten and strangled inside her apartment. no arrests have been made, but police may be closer to catching her killer. >> reporter: police may be closing in on a person of interest, but so far no arrests. detectives have been talking to the victim's parents which maybe crucial because one of them was talking to the victim on the phone around the time of her killing. >> one of the parents was on the phone with the daughter either at the time of the assault or before the assault. that would be critical to find out what she heard or knows.

>> reporter: friends of jasmine wright are devastated why someone would want to snuff out a promising woman with a bright future. she graduated with a master's degree in occupational and environmental health. her killer was filled with rage. >> she was beaten badly ultimately she was strangled. that was the cause of death. it appears it was personal. >> what is clear nothing was taken from the home, this does not appear to be a robbery. >> we believe she let the person in or they had a key. >> reporter: wright's murder was discovered by the property manager, her father asked him to check in on her because he had not heard from her in a couple of days. >> i'm so sorry for her parents. oh, my god. >> reporter: police feel good about the progress they are making in the case.

right now they are focusing on the people who had access to the apartment. >> two deadly shootings in philadelphia one near overnight playground shots rang out 1900 block of 46th street. a 42-year-old man died after being shot 13 times. a second victim was hit in the hand. a few hours later officers responded to another shooting in southwest philadelphia. a man in his 20s was shot in the chest. he was rushed to penn presbyterian where he died. no arrests have been made. a fast-moving wildfire forced drivers to flee their cars in california yesterday. 20 vehicles were destroyed and this morning officials say that blaze is only 5% contained. abc matt gutman has the latest. >> reporter: an inferno racing
