shooting of the s.w.a.t. officer, we know the officer is a 17 year veteran of the force and the bulletproof vest he was wearing saved his life. david henry is live at the scene of the crime along riverside drive with the latest. >> reporter: yes the officer has now been shot twice in the line of duty and both times he was saved by that bulletproof vest. >> the officer does a pretty nasty bruise but is in stable condition. the shootout happened when he when to serve a warrant on a murder suspect. devon gashard was inside and police say he grabbed something and ran and then turned and shot at an officer. >> the suspect is deceased and the officer was wearing body armor and that absorbed the impact and the penetration of

burlington county where the fire has broken out of a two story home, and the fire is visible there at the top of the roof. we'll bring you updates as we get them. a handyman accused of killing an elderly woman inside of her east mt. airy home is going to trial a judge found there was enough evidence to move forward against 40-year-old leroy wilson that he murdered regina holmes last month. they believe that holmes caught wilson stealing from her and that is when he became violence he is facing charges of murder and robbery. and police released surveillance video of two suspects wanted for a double shooting in southwest philadelphia, it happened along the 3500 block on july 4th at 1:30 in the morning the suspects walked up to two men standing by their car and pulled out handguns and opened fire according to police the

29-year-old and 32-year-old victims were critically injured and anyone that recognized either suspect should can't police and we have posted the video on our website so you can take a closer look. two men are in a delaware county jail accused of traveling to our area to try to have sex with underage children fisher is from elkton, maryland, he solicited who he thought was a 12-year-old boy and turned out to be an undercover office, he travelled to meet up with the teen and was arrested. george smith is from barberton ohio he made the victim believe he was a college student and had every intention of meeting up with her. >> he admits to us he is solicit this 13-year-old knowing she is a 13-year-old, and she disclosed to him she is a 13-year-old and goes on to encourage her. >> authorities when on to say

harm's way large clouds of smoke was drifting into a nearby apartment complex, and they took advantage of an evacuation effort placing them in a nearby scol school everything was ablaze. we saw everybody outside, fire trucks we knew where the fire was at and i thought it was somebody's house. residents at our middle school, that are being stationed there. and because of large amount of water, fire officials were concerned about its impact on the community. we did not jeopardize the system completely and our residents did not have water and we started the tanker shuttle from the lake nearby. through it all one firefighter suffered a minor injury and until they knock this fire down they won't be able to determine the cause. >> all right back here, matt pellman with an update on the commute home on a wednesday
