noon 81 and 85 is the high, 6:00 p.m., 83. sun and clouds, very bright low humidity and comfortable conditions to be outside particularly if you're into a nice summer afternoon. we'll be back inside with word on how much longer this pattern lasts in the seven day. >> we have a good looking ride in on the schuylkill expressway looking live conshohocken eastbound traffic heading toward the curve. no major delays coming in from paoli or king of prussia or norristown. i-95 one of the first signs of slowing is usually here, you can see a touch of it on i-95 southbound. a 15 minute ride not a major delay, but that volume is starting to kick in a little bit. we have a couple of issues one in northeast philadelphia ditman street stick to mcgee and torresdale. gas main break allegheny avenue at kensington avenue.

you may see restrictions right here allegheny is blocked. tioga will help you around the closure. bensalem, bucks county an accident involving a car that ran into a pole on bristol road. >> we're starting this morning with breaking news, it was a violent night in the city of philadelphia. police are investigating two shootings in the city's kensington section overnight. one person was killed and police say a teenager was caught in the crossfire in another. let's go to katherine scott with the latest. katherine. >> reporter: well, eva two people were shot, one died, this happened around the corner from each other initially the police were investigating these as separate shootings but they believe they could be connected. homicide detectives are investigating let's go to the video to a scene in kensington where where a 15-year-old was grazed in his arm at 1:00 a.m.

police say he was caught in the crossfire. he was sitting on the steps of his home when he was hit. the teenager was grazed in the arm and went to st. christopher's hospital with his mother, he is in stable condition. around the corner from there a few minutes later police found a man shot twice once in the head and once again in the back he has died. police believe he is between 25 and 30 years old. the circumstances about what happened around the shootings remain under investigation. they are hoping to find surveillance video that could help in the investigation. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thanks, katherine. philadelphia police are investigating a double shooting that left a person dead it happened past 1:00 a.m. on the 4600 block of unrue. police say a 21-year-old man was shot several times and died from his wounds.

28-year-old man is hospitalized in critical condition. witnesses say three men were seen running on foot from the scene. a prison guard is on the mend after a shocking attack. an inmate managed to stab him more than ten times. this is happened at the curran-fromhold correction always facility. they say the officer was stabbed several times with a homemade knife known as a shank. >> the correction officers walk the toughest beat in the city of philadelphia. we locked in with the inmates. although we don't complain about the job it is a danger job. >> matthew early was behind bars for firing into a septa train striking two men after an argument over sports team. early will undergo a mental

health valuation. it was a close actual we know a teenager and a train in darby, delaware county. the teen dropped his shirt and went back to get it and was brushed by a passing train and only received bruises. a man walked into a bank with a semi automatic handgun. police say he took off after getting $1,000 in cash. if you recognize him contact fbi or philadelphia police. a mailman faces prison time for failing to delivery 22,000 pieces of mail he is accused of stashing the mail destine for neighbors in tacony and wissinoming.

back country hiker have been told to move to safety. the fire destroyed the bearing creek cabin a historic back country structure. wind he gusts will increase the risk of fire spreading more quickly. police say a driver who was texting came within inches of running down two massachusetts police officers. surveillance video from the police station captured the woman who was not watching the road sped up. officers yelled for her to stop, but she kept going the officers pulled her over and the officers not hurt and the driver was cited. donald trump will hold a news conference in lorado texas to discuss immigration.

new on "action news," a kentucky babysitter got an unexpected visitor while watching two children at her home. she spotted a black bear and snapped pictures of the bear relaxing and playing around with the children's toys. just like the bedroom stories she tells the kids every night the story had a happy ending when the bear decided he was cool and done and took off into the woods. >> reporter: he didn't have sandwiches, he should have put sunscreen on just in case. let's look outside i-95 at allegheny, the roads clear and dry. we had a disabled van that cleared. we're jammed on i-95 southbound heading toward center city
