movie theater in lafayette louisiana people were there to see "train wreck." >> police say the attacker died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound and nine people were hurt. katherine scott is live in our satellite center with the breaking details. good morning. >> reporter: good morning eva and tam the gunman is a 58-year-old mantua criminal history. police have not release -- 58-year-old man with a criminal history. police do not want to release his identity. gunfire erupts in a crowded theater in louisiana a lone gunman opened fire killing two people and injuring 9. he turned the handgun on himself. >> we are pieing popcorn

when -- buying popcorn when a group of teenagers came out and said run for your life. >> they called swat and the cops and everybody else to come over here and wouldn't ran inside with guns. >> reporter: there were 100 people inside the theater at the time of the shooting. police do not believe that the shooter launched any attack beforehand. this comes three years after james holmes opened fire in a denver movie theater killing 12 and injuring 70. >> i guess it's a reality check, everybody thinks their hometowns are exempt from this kind of thing and above this craziness, but we're like anybody else in time end. >> reporter: investigators are trying to figure out where the gunman lives. they are checking several addresses that are listed to him. as for the nine injured their injuries range from non-life threatening to critical. katherine scott which i channel 6 "action news." >> louisiana shooting occurred

three years after james holmes entered a crowded movie theater in suburban denver. holmes opened fire during the premier of a batman film killing 12 and injuring 70 others. he was convicted on 165 counts of murder and attempted murder and other charges. "g.m.a." will continue with the coverage of the movie theater shooting in louisiana. that continues after "action news." a man is fighting for his life after a being shot in the chest. the action cam was on the scene in the olney section of the city. a bullet went through his arm into the chest. the victim is in critical condition. no word on what motive or who was behind the crime. a man was found murdered in

wilmington. police say he was shot several times in the basement of a home on the 3500 block of west 4th street. anyone with information in reference to this investigation is asked to call police. we are at the big board to talk about this, this is the terrible scene in lindenwald, camden county. look at the flames that tore through multiple homes that left four families with nowhere to live. the fire broke out before 7:00 p.m. fire officials say it spread from one condominium to three others. it took 90 minutes to get the two-alarm blaze under control. 63-year-old said she was worried about her two pet cats. >> i don't care about anything about those two cats. i'm sorry, i know they are doing the best they can. officials say the massive blaze started in a second floor bedroom. there was one minor injury to a

trapped gasping for air under the car. after trying to use a jack to raise the car the crowd came together to lift the car by hand. the woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. this is a woman walking into a walmart for a little shopping. the only thing she left her toddler in the car on a hot day. a passer by called 911. after 20 minutes of shopping, the mother is confronted by police now her mother is charged with child abuse. medical examiners in texas say sandra bland's death was suicide. bland was found hanging in her jail cell. there were no defensive injuries that indicate a struggle. her family disputes the findings and calling forren and dependent
