in the leg. >> two new jersey firefighters meet the man they have been raising money for face-to-face. >> the big story on "action news" is the search for a suspect after a mother and # 1-month-old daughter were found stabbed in their home. the police were called to the dallas street in west oak lane. tonight police say they know who they are looking for. wendy saltzman is live with the full story. wendy. >> reporter: a neighbor says she watched the horrifying events unfold and watch the husband flee the scene after allegedly stabbing his wife and his their infant child. police tell us he is on the the loose. >> i heard her scream, it woke me up out of my sleep. they always argue but this argument was not the same. >> the neighbor recounts a

chilling story about the overnight stabbing at the 1900 block of dallas in west oak lane. i can see him in the blinds sitting on top of her doing whatever he is doing to her banging on the door. >> she called police after the 37-year-old neighbor was found repeatedly. the 21-month-old daughter was stabbed in the chest. >> i when i want into the room she was laying on her stomach. >> danecia berrian was taken to sign sign and in critical condition and the child is in saint christopher's in critical condition. >> when she opened the door, there was blood everywhere. there was blood everywhere from the top of the steps to the bottom of the steps. no audio. >> thank you wendy.

new at 6:00 p.m. police are looking for two men in connection with a late night drugstore in aston township. investigators say two men tied up the employees inside and took cash and left. nobody was injured. if you recognize this man or have any information call was stin police. police are looking for a person after a shooting near salford street. a 19-year-old victim was rushed to the hospital and is in stable condition. no arrests have been made. philadelphia police are looking to are a suspect following a late-night shooting in the summerdale section. the man was walking to his car on sanger street at 1 # 45:00. he was approached by a teenager who demanded his keys. the victim left and the suspect pulled out a revolver and fired. the weapon failed to discharge.

as the suspect fled. he shot the man in the hip. >> two dogs presumed dead after a house fire in chester county are alive and well tonight. the flames broke out at 5:00 p.m. in east bridle township. this morning firefighters got a call that the dogs were seen on the second floor. both dogs were pulled from the rubble and back with their owners. the fire was rule accidental. mother nature is getting ready to turn up the temperature in the week ahead. heading outside live showing you the beach in atlantic city, new jersey, a lot of people still out there at this hour, the humidity though, began creeping into the tri-state area today. we could seem the beginning of a heat wave come midweek. melissa magee outside with a look at the forecast. >> reporter: hey, sarah as you mentioned we had changes for the

season. we'll look at the details coming up in the full and exclusive accuweather forecast. walter. >> now to a story of kindness and goodwill that's getting national attention. two firefighters from new jersey have been trying to raise money to for a waitress and her father after she treated them to breakfast. jeff skeverski is live with -- jeff chirico is live with the story. >> reporter: thursday morning last week she paid $15 to cover the two volunteer firefighters breakfast, the story went viral and now her family was collected $26,000 in donations. >> "action news" was there as the firefighters met liz woodward's family for the first time drawn together for her famous act of kindness while

working the overnight shift at the route 130 in delran. >> all i did was pay for their breakfast. i didn't think anything would come about it without them leaving with a smile. >> your breakfast is on me today. rather than handing a bill she penned this note thanking the firefighter for their service. touched by the gesture the men decided to pay it forward once they learned they were trying to buy her paralyzed father a wheelchair access van. >> it was from sharing i felt on facebook and talking to people on my if you meant job. >> >> reporter: the story went viral and donations poured in. by this afternoon woodward's account has collected over
