big story is the heat. it's hot and getting hotter tomorrow and thursday i'm tracking a front that brings us a round of thunderstorms in the afternoon. tomorrow though, you combine the temperature with the dew points generally in the 70s, we are locking at a heat index of up to close to 100 along the i-95 corridor and northwest and southeast not much better it will follow 95 to close to 100 degrees tomorrow with the heat index you definitely need to take it easy, on thursday future tracker showing ahead of a cold front we see a round of thunderstorms developing and could contain damaging wind gusts, and what that cold front will do is knock down the heat and humidity on friday we could still technically be in a heat wave into the week and next week, 91 in philadelphia down from a high of 93 allentown and reading 90 and millville 87, you can see what a shower does the atlantic city airport rain

cooled 76 degrees, the heat index make its feel like 95 in philadelphia and same in wilmington and 90 in wildwood and 90 in allentown and read and 93 degrees in trenton, it's certainly a warm evening, satellite 6 along with action radar showing most of the showers and thunderstorm activity is across virginia and west virginia and that really stays to the south if you look to the north you see that line of clouds associated with a jet stream and this is a ridge of high pressure and this stays in place tomorrow we have high pressure down to the south and this will continue to provide that heat pump with the hot humid air and hot here and even hotter areas south and west where temperatures are above 100, tomorrow get set to sweat the high 94 degrees and the heat index up around 99 and thursday the temperature will likely drop a couple of degrees, 92 degrees and it will be more humid and the heat index on thursday soars up to 101 i think
