chaka fattah senior is facing charges. that he used charity funds to repay his campaign loans. chad pradelli is live now in sent city with the full story. >> reporter: we knew the feds were investigating chaka fattah and today they dropped the hammer with this 85 page indictment that could put the congressman behind bars for decades. the 29 count indictment alleges chaka fattah and four other co-defendants, engaged in conspiracies consisting of several schemes, including money laundering and bank fraud. they say that fattah borrowed a million dollars from a supporter and after losing he used a nonprofit he founded and controlled to pay back $600,000 of the funds. >> to disguise the source of

these funds fattah arranging for the payments to pass through two other companies, including one run by the co-defendant. >> that they created sham contracts and made false entries and tax returns and the congressman is accused of using campaign funds to repay his son's student loan debt. >> to hide the scheme and conceal it they arranged for his campaigns to make paymentses to a political consultant company to satisfy student loan belonging to congressman fattah's son. >> at this point we have yet to hear from congressman fattah he is expected to release a statement here in the next hour or so. the 29 page indictment we have not gone through the entire indictment we'll have more details coming up on "action

state racetrack that the shooting happened outside of the barns in the stable area and one man was shot and police arrived on the scene and 20 minutes later investigators arrived to prides court apartments two miles from the racetrack where they were searching for the suspect. the apartments are located on sussex road and one man was there taken into custody but they will not confirm if it's the suspect in the shooting one trainer says that after the shooting witnesses describe whad they saw. >> i was at the ends of the barn and my foreman said that guy almost hit your truck. he sped out the back gate. >> people that work here is a that things are now back to normal here at the park as for the condition of the victim we are only told by delaware police that he remains at delaware hospital. reporting live in wilmington, annie mccormick channel 6

noon and goes until 6:00 tonight and heat index feels like 100 and the areas extend from mercer so trenton koibt and through philadelphia to the i-95 corridor and all the way down into wilmington delaware. we have poor air quality out there, yesterday it was a code orange in new jersey and today it's new jersey pennsylvania and delaware those of you insensitive groups especially seniors and people with heart and lung conditions want to limit your outdoor exposure 88 in philadelphia and 89 in allentown but factor in the high oppressive humidity it feels like it's 95 and already guys we have one 100 degree index value that hit the map in dover and we may see more areas up north repeat that 100 degree measure as we go through the next several hours. when does this end? and what about thunderstorms that will help end the humidity some are strong and i'll have details on all of that in the

david here with a check of the the accuweather forecast, dangerous heat. >> absolutely, really humid out there too. waez look at stormtracker 6 live double scan down south of philadelphia, there are spots that popped up and heavy showers, and no lightning from any of these yet and that is not out of question look at what is going on over rehoboth and lewes delaware we have one of these guys develop and this is probably due to the heat and humidity in place and the interaction with the cooler air over the water there is another little guy to the east of milford delaware and i want to go ahead and go out one more

showed you on storm tracker 6, and could be more in delaware or parts of south jersey and then the threat of that sort of thing diminishes towards sun down and the heat and humidity is not going anywhere hot and humid and heat indexes getting into the upper 90s and down the shore highs mountain mid-80s and be careful about the swimming because there are rip currents around the jersey coastline and not so much in delaware 94 is your high today feeling like 100 for a couple of hours this afternoon, hot and humid and sun mixing with clouds and the heat warning in effect until 6:00 this evening, remember the air quality is not great. 77 is the oversunlight low and mainly clear and very humid and very muggy and then we get into tomorrow there are more clouds around and it won't be quite as hot, and by 10:00 in the morning future tracker 6 suggesting showers and the bigger issue is in the afternoon
