nonprofit called the somerset center. we're told the car was running and there were four bullet holes in the drivers side door. the 40-year-old victim was found slumped over the wheel. police have not identified the victim or made any arrests stay with "action news" and 6abc.com for the latest. the search continues for a killer in south philadelphia who repeatedly shot at his victim during a ten block chase. this is 1900 block of mountain street. pursuit started at 11:00 p.m. witnesses who called 911 said she saw a man dodging bullets while he ducked behind parked cars, the vitamin died at the hospital. no arrests made. the search continues this morning for a gunman who killed a 22-year-old mother in port richmond while her young daughter was nearby. dozens came out to remember stephanie dzikowski, sharrie williams was there. >> we ask you to open your

merciful loving arms. >> reporter: praiser went up for stephanie dzikowski, about 100 people packed the belong on aramingo avenue for a vigil to remember the 22-year-old. philadelphia police say she was shot and killed in her own home while her 2-year-old child was close by. ryan is stephanie's younger brother. >> my sister is gone now, she didn't deserve this. she was trying to make a better life for herself and her daughter, now she is gone. >> reporter: one by one family and friends left condles and notes and pictures and stuffed animals in memory of the young most of them. her grieving father brought the beautiful flowers to place on the memorial for his beautiful daughter. police released this surveillance video showing the killer fleeing down aramingo avenue. >> i didn't see his face. he had a hood on and ran

we're following breaks news, philadelphia police is investigating after a woman is found shot to death inside a car in kensington. medics made the discovery around 5:00 a.m. in the rear of a parking lot on the 2800 block of frankford avenue. the lot belongs to a private nonprofit called the somerset center. the car was running there were four bullet holes in the drivers side door. 40-year-old victim was found slumped over the wheel. at this point police have not released the identity of the victim nor made any arrest stay with "action news" and contact for the latest. new this morning, philadelphia made a sex assault arrest at a center city hotel. 911 call came in after 3:00 a.m. from the roadway in on the 1200 block of walnut. officers took a man into custody. his accuser is speaking to detective's at special victims unit. no other details are being released at this time. the coast guard suspended

its search for two teenagers who disappeared while boating off the florida coast. after a wheek -- week of scouring atlantic ocean by boat and air, search teams turned up no recovery of the 14 years old. >> reporter: 50,000 in and in ah it's officially over. the coast guard calling off the search for the 2, 14-year-old boys. >> hundreds of people searched thousands of miles because we were committed to find austin and perry. >> reporter: they set off alone on a fishing trip from jupiter florida before a line of severe storms moved through. the boat found capsized 70 miles off the coast of central florida two days later. >> confirmed nobody on board. >> reporter: a cooler and life jackets missing from the boat. their families remaining

bathtub in her atlanta home. a man from berks county is in trouble with the federal government after slamming his car into a barricade at the u.s. capitol. anthony larosa said he was trying to get a patent for a clothing design. his mother said he has mental issues. the philadelphia fire department scored a major victory scoring a as you will a- multimillion dollar grant that will permit 100 new hierls. >> $22.79 million to higher additional firefighters. >> reporter: philadelphia firefighters responded to almost 50,000 fire calls last year compared to 44,000 the year before. due to attrition and other factors the 2100 amoeba department loses 80 to 110

firefighters a year. the city spends millions in overtime. last year alone it paid 37.6 million to have firefighters work overtime. >> by being awarded this 22.9 million grant it allows us to higher the firefighters to replace the people who are retiring. it's great news. >> reporter: the federal emergency management agency awarded the grant. when they applied for the grant there was no certainty they were getting the money. >> not everybody who applies for a grant gets awarded a grant. it's great news for us, because we put a lot of work applying for it. >> reporter: with the money, the department expects to higher 160 additional firefighters. >> it's a great day for the fire department and the city of philadelphia. even though we get to higher the members, they want to serve the community. it's a great day for the city of philadelphia as a whole. >> reporter: the department says

the process to higher the additional firefighters has begun. under the provision of the grant all 160 firefighters must be hired within the two year period. from east falls, dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." >> federal authorities say they have been contacted by a representative for the minnesota dentist who ignited a firestorm after killing a protected lion in zimbabwe. a representative of walter palmer contacted officials. the agency is investigating the death of cecil the lion who was lured out of the park and killed. meanwhile, he could become the first american extra indicted to face charges. we're learning details about the texas trooper who arrested sandra bland. his personal file was released showing he was arrested for unprofessional conduct at a school no other details were

provided. he arrested bland after a traffic stop. officials say she committed suicide. her family questioned the findings. tom brady and nfl commissioner roger goodell are expected to appear in court twice this month as part of the deflate gate scandal. a federal judge scheduled hearings for august 12 and 13. he asked both sides to discuss settlement discussions. brady and the players union are suing to overturn his suspension. goodell upheld the suspension after brady appealed. brady maintained his innocence. a burglar was busted because she had no idea the homeowner watched the entire crime unfold on his iphone. the app is linked to his hidden

3 and 4 inches. this is typically a wet month. it's similar to july and june where we see the big thunderstorms and drenching downpours, but, again, we're starting to see things tail off a little bit and we are getting into fall. dover, 80. doesn't feel like fall. allentown, 74 and the poconos 67. there's good news here, dewpoints staying on the comfortable side. satellite and radar, we have quite a bit of cloud cover across southern pennsylvania this morning. it's associated with a frontal system which will reinforce the drier air for the second half of the weekend. for the most part it should come through dry, one or two areas well west of philadelphia. i'm talking the lehigh valley and the poconos. one or two areas could see a brief shower later on. high pressure firmly in control. as we get into monday, this high sits here, so the winds are out of the southwest in comes that
