it seems more and more people are running. we have learned that hit and run accidents are far out pacing last year's. >> last year we only had three and now we have seven already this year. the victims are mostly children like 5-year-old carly green she was rundown by a light colored suv sunday evening, police believe that they recovered that vehicle, but so far no charges are filed as they try to determine who was driving. yesterday afternoon, -year-old zaz imbrown was playing where carly was hit he was playing in this water hydrant knocked him to the ground and he was hit by a car and it kept going. >> the tires when over my leg.

>> he has bruises and was sent home last night. the mother who isn't want her face shown says he is lucky. >> he is lucky blessed. >> 22-year-old parker sims was rundown at 84th and lindbergh boulevard she remains hospitalized as police look for the driver of a small green pickup truck. commissioner ramsey says that drivers that flee make it harder on themselves when they eventually get caught usually with the help of surveillance video. >> people need to consider these things we'll get you one way or the other we'll get you eventually. >> commissioner ramsey is urging drivers to avoid accidents in the first place seven people five of them children killed so far this year equalling the total of last year entirely.

be the first in pennsylvania allowed to sell beer. annie mccormick is live in glen mills. is there an early line on how this vote is expected to go? >> well, there is a number of businesses in this area that are selling beer and people are wondering why can't they get a beer with their hoagie and wawa is wondering that too. and they have several locations in the tri-state area with the bulk of them in pennsylvania, it could mean the beginning of beer sales across the state. >> wawa goes before the board tonight seeking approval to sell six-packs of beer at their neiman road colleagues in chadds ford. this would be the first wawa to sell beer in pennsylvania their proposal complies with philadelphia regulations. grocery stores have gotten

must get township approval as well. we'll learn more at tonight's 6:30 meeting. reporting live, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." new jersey state police hopes someone can identify this woman. it has been a long time. this is a composite sketch of a woman that was found along the delaware river shore line in january of 2014, the unidentified body was discovered in west depford the cause of death could not be determined. the woman is between 5'5" and 5'7" inches tall and had salt and pepper hair that appears to be died brown and no scars and no tattoos. a group of protesters gathered this morning outside of an air gas share holders meeting at the franklin institute in philadelphia they say that air gas treats their workers poorly and use discriminatory pay

this coach will hear the boo birds. he blew off this season with nine new starters but kelly is breezed with this team's progress. >> we are head of where we have ever been because of the amount of reps we get in the spring we go hard in the spring, there is a reason for that so when we come back it's not starting over again, it's picking up where we left off. the limited amount of mental hours for us as a coaching staff is impressive. we have a group that studies hard and if they didn't take six weeks off and seeing what they did in the first days from a mental standpoint. >> brian westbrook was among the alumni, b west scoring a big time honor being inducted into the eagles hall-of-fame during their monday night game against the giants in object. he says it's a great honor they love him here at the linc.

after more than a week the heat wave is over? >> this should be the final day of the heat wave, 93 today we hit 93 four times during this heat wave. tomorrow 89 degrees is the forecast high. it will be close but i think it will be in the 80s, stormtracker 6 live double scan showing that we are rain free right now we are tracking some storms right now working out of baltimore and the d.c. area and they could clip southern new jersey and southern delaware later on tonight, but today the action cam is taking a look at lake pine in medford, new jersey seeing the blue skies and sunshine and it's nice to be near the water on a day like today, it was hot today's high 93 degrees, the only day of temperatures in the 90s and 21 days so far this year with temperatures in the 90s but it looks like we'll get an extended

break from the heat as we head through tomorrow and the rest of the week, still holding at 90 in philadelphia and millville and dover, and trenton 89 degrees and the board walk in atlantic city dropping down into the low 80s and the humidity levels in most of our region is low philadelphia and areas north the dew points are dropping and they are below 60 degrees, a dry air mass but notice though it's still humid in dover with a dew point of 71 degrees and areas to the south with higher human the best chance of seeing storms tonight. satellite 6 along with action radar you can see this arcing of storms right now working out of the nation's capital and this is all pressing to the east so we'll likely see some storms south of philadelphia in the overnight hours future tracker 6 showing at 10:00 some storms in south jersey and off the coast and lower humidity as we head through the evening hours tonight a comfortable night for the viewing area and a few
