year-old son stabbed his father to death it is tuesday night and the big story on "action news" tonight is murder within the family tonight, and that is according to police and law men are trying to find out exactly what happened. police rushed to 527 trap lane, after getting word of a stabbing at 515 tonight, they found a 66 year-old man and the victim's 27 year-old son. "action news" reporter dann cuellar is live at the scene. dann what are the details there? >> reporter: well, late word jim, that the sonnies, in fact going to be charged with the stabbing death of his father. this is as police continue to process the crime scene here in the 500 block of trappe lane. police say stabbing came after a heated argument between the the father and his son inside of the home. >> i'm shocked. i'm shocked that something like this would happen. >> reporter: neighbors reacting to the horror in the 500 block of trappe lane,

police rush to the scene around 5:30 after a report of the stabbing inside this home. >> they saw that there was an elderly gentlemen was suffering from at least one severe stab wound to the stomach. >> reporter: the 66 year-old victim was rushed to st. mary's hospital where he later died. >> at that time the gentlemen's son was also on location. he was taken in custody. as of right now he has not been charged with anything. >> reporter: victim's wife said to be gravely ill had to be taken to the same hospital by ambulance upon getting wind that something terrible had happened. police say it appears that the stabbing was a result of the some argument that broke out between the two. >> it looks like a domestic incident that resulted in the son stabbing the father. >> reporter: are word of the tragedy quickly spread through the neighborhood. >> my gosh this is shocking. this neighborhood is generally quiet. we have been here 30 years. we never seen anything like this before in my life. >> you really don't know what goes on behind closed doors. this is as simple as that.

yours but the contents of the truck, caught fire. the police and fire fighters converged on the scene and spent thousands moving the vehicles contending with the smokey blaze, off loading the cardboard, hosing it down and getting the road ready for traffic. thousands of vehicles had to stay in place for hours, some actually ran out of fast. sources tell "action news" tonight that investigators are examining a second car that may have been involved in last weeks triple fatal crash in northeast philadelphia. three young people were killed and two others were sent to the hospital when an acura crash a along sandmeyer lane and red lion. police suspect speeding, possibly drag racing the second vehicle. dna tests are being done on that car before possible charges will be filed. the wawa store in chadds ford is a major step closer to becoming the first wawa in pennsylvania, to sell beer. this could extend far beyond that specific store.

a "action news" reporter annaie mccormack has the story. >> reporter: this wawa is the the only one with approval and changes still have to be made in order for them to be up to speed with all of the state rules and regulations. with that said, beer sales could start here soon and that could change beer sales across the the state. township of concord board of supervisors approved wawa's request to sell six packs of beer to go at their naamans creek road location in chadds ford. wawa's proposal complies with pennsylvania alcohol regulations, that they plan on creating seating training employees and abiding by supervisor's list of conditions. somewhat was customers are asking what took so long. >> i think it would be very convenient absolutely instead of having to go out to the liquor store or beer distributor, i live right down the street. grab a sandwich, grab a gas and six pack. >> reporter: beer distributor like delaware county's brewer's outlet located a mile from the wawa are not happy. >> i don't know why wawa needs

an end to the the heat wave. today we hit 93 degrees for fourth time in the past eight days, we have had eight days straight of temperatures in the 90's. this is 22nd day of the temperatures in the 90's however, i'm tracking a dramatic cool down. we will say good bye to the 90's for a while. we will have details in the full accu weather forecast, jim. >> thanks, cecily. camden county grand jury has cleared six police officers of wrongdoing in the fatal shooting of a suspect last summer, it happened on the 400 block of berlin new freedom road in winslow on august 1st of 204 almost a year ago to the day. prosecutors say that 42 year-old daniel saint pierre had a gun, was struggling with officers before he was shot. audio of the confrontation was picked up by a dashboard camera none of the officers were hurt. a injury any philadelphia has convicted 25 year-old thomas coffee of willow grove of first degree murder. coffee had been charged with fatally shooting a man in june 2013,

who had answered an ad on craigs list for an all terrain vehicle. the victim was 27 year-old daniel cook of williamstown, new jersey. coffee was sentenced to a mandatory life term plus 50 to 100 years for three other armed robberies. a south jersey fisherman is alive tonight in part thanks to the valiant efforts of the coastguard crew based out of atlantic city. this video shows the rescue from the perspective of the helicopter, hovering above opened water 44 miles off the coast of cape may. damon sexton, was not wearing a life jacket when he was swept over board from his 39-foot boat sea robin on saturday night. there was only would be other person on board. he did not know how to stop the engines but he was able to make the critical may take call. sexton swam for miles to catch up with his boat, spending four hours in the water. >> i'm thinking i could die yes. it would be very easy for me

first republican candidates debate on thursday night. ten of the 17 republican candidates for president will take part in the prime time debate headed by donald trump, jeb bush and scott walker in the middle of the pack mike huckabee, ben carson, ted cruz and marco rubio. rand paul is in eighth position. new jersey governor chris christie made it, just at number nine, and edging out john kassig, seven othersing including former pennsylvania senator rick santorum will take part in the predebate forum. we also learn tonight that governor christie and his wife remain millionaires. the christie reported wages of $277,000 over the last year and a half on his financial disclosures. filed tonight with the federal elections commission prior to the debate tomorrow. they received up to $50,000 in royalties from mcneil, maker of tylenol. most of their assets are listed in blind trusts.

authorities say a wild fire in california, is growing, more than 10,000 fire fighters have been dereplied across the state. the 100 square mile fire is threatening nearly 7,000 homes. the blaze is so intense that it is now generating its own weather pattern creating lightening and dangerous downdrafts, all things that make the fire even more unpredictable. a father and daughter were killed, last night when a circus tent collapsed in lancaster, new hampshire. the circus had started 15 minutes before strong wind, blew through the area. thirty-two people were taken to the hospital. authorities say that the circus operator did not file a place of assembly permit with the town. the the circus, however is

now cooperating with the investigators. new york city is trying to deal with the out break of legionnaires disease. eighty-six people have been infected, four just within the past day and a total of seven people have died. the bacteria can be spread in a mist from air conditioning towers which are all over new york city. mayor deblasio asked anybody with symptoms including fever coughing, and shortness of breath to seek treatment right away. aclu a has filed a lawsuit against a kentucky school district where an eight year-old boy was handcuffed by a deputy sheriff. viral video has sparked public outrage. third grader was handcuffed with his hands behind his back for 15 minutes because of behavior that his family says is related to his adhd. a nine year-old girl was also restrained. the sheriff is supporting the deputy saying that the behavior was posing a threat to others. netflix is offering a new sort of family plan, unlimited
