purgering herself. >> we allege that after leaking this information, the defendant set on a path to conceal her actions. >> kane released a statement saying she would vigorously defend herself in court and said i am committed to leading the office of attorney general, a resignation is an admission of guilt and i am not guilty. >> i don't see how she can defendant herself against these serious charges and remain the top law enforcement officer in pennsylvania. >> so the attorney general is expected to turn herself in here in montgomery in the next two days, asked why she was not arrested and booked today, it appears there was a scheduling problem, kane has out of state lawyers and it was scheduled for another day.

this afternoon. water was cut off to the mall and the sprinkler system. the mall had to shut the doors while they made repairs, no major damage to the property and the mall reopened at 5:00. there is a move afoot to increase security at the the navy yard. there is a notion there is real vulnerability there. vernon odom has the story. >> reporter: in june the philadelphia navy yard was evacuated during a security scare that proved unsub tanated, the station has raised questions about the state of security here. the employees believe they are vulnerable at the site because of a lack of security at theentance and a lack of a system to alert employees in the case of a crisis. >> they have sent off a letter

in. >> he hopes to have the bureaucracy moving on this issue before the end of the year, i'm vernon odom, channel 6 "action news" at the navy yard in philadelphia. the 50 and anniversary of the federal voting rights act. it was signed into law in 1965 it overturned barriers that didn't allow african-americans the right to vote. mayor michael nutter along with the committee of 70 with the urban league marked the anniversary with a news conference, the mayor talked about the voting act saying more work needs to be done. the anniversary for a call to change the state's voting law representatives from several organizations held a news conference in wilmington to rally for a bill that allows people to register on election day. currently delawareans must

it was last november 18 and when fire destroyed building number four at the farmers market in mansfield. new construction and a light at the end of the tunnel is lifting spirits of merchants and customer as like. nora muchanic has the latest tonight. >> reporter: the columbus market is alive and well and on the road to recovery after a devastating fire last year. the steel frame is up and construction is underway on a new 15,000 square foot building in mansfield. >> it will accommodate a brand new food court with lots of indoor and outdoor seating and restaurants and retail stores. >> it was back in november when a major fire destroyed building four and the ten businesses inside. >> people thought the whole thing was closed, i'm glad they were open right away, this place

is a staple in the area. >> it's eye opening, sensory overload but i'm enjoying it. >> managers hope that it brings new life into the market that is suffering since the fire. the outdoor flea market has been all right but the businesses inside has taken a hit. >> gts to have it back up again. >> customers have had to go outside through a walkway to connect through the other building and the new construction will eliminate that. >> that is what we have been waiting for because we need the traffic flow to get back to normal. >> and they will have new bathrooms instead of port-a-potties outside. >> and a new food court. >> they want things to eat but there is no place to sit so this will be very nice. >> it's expected to be completed sometime this fall. i'm nora muchanic, channel 6

the light showers are approaching harrisburg and the low pressure is over kentucky and this is following a typical el nino pattern sliding to the south of southern vnl, the most heaviest rain will misus to the south and it's just clipping us. and the clouds continue to thicken south of philadelphia, 69 degrees in philadelphia and allentown 61 and trenton 66 and millville 66 and cape may 66 degrees, a comfortable night. north of philadelphia it's just a cloudy morning and south we are dealing with showers and then steady light rain, atlantic city through dover and then as we head into the afternoon the low pressure moves out and high pressure starts to built in and that means showers will linger
