attorney general, kathleen kane. and an investigation into sun roofs shattering without warning, why it's happening to hundreds of drivers. but the big story is a violent robbery that ended with a woman shot in a bakery. the attack left the 56-year-old victim in critical condition. "action news" reporter is live at the scene in haverford avenue where police released new details in the last half hour. >> we do know that the victim remains in critical condition and the bullet passed through her windpipe and spine and she was able to call 911. the owner pays her employees on fridays and it is likely the robbers knew she would have money on her. >> shocked.

>> shocked that a nearby business owner was shot at her shop. she was smoking a cigarette outside of the best cakes bakery just before 6:00 a.m., when she was robbed and shot, they took her apron where she keeps her money. >> if it was a setup robbery, people could case this out and know what she did and have familiarity with this business. >> i heard the helicopters and police cars. >> her cousin has worked here for years and said the owner is always in at 4:00 a.m. on fridays and her cousin is always in too but was running late today, he was shocked when he showed up. >> he was not here at time and there was a knock at the door and he was crying and just found out what happened. >> the owner is known for her kindness in the neighborhood and giving people that need job a second chance. >> she always welcomed them back even after they did not show up

for a few days and always takes them back. >> police briefly talked to her when they arrived and they are looking for surveillance footage in the area. >> she described them as two black males one tall and one short. >> someone had attempted to rob her before but she fought them off and she never reported it. surveillance cameras are hoping to find foot able and get a description of the men and the vehicle they were in. live in overbrook katherine scott, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. police are looking for a woman in connection with a deadly shooting in north philadelphia overnight. investigators say she was arguing with an 18-year-old man on the 1900 block of north cross key street. the teen was killed around midnight and it's unclear how they knew each okay and vernon

county as well. the bulk of it is off the coast. parts of southern delaware as well. cape may some of these showers hugging the coastline near sea isle city and garden state parkway and route 47 and 49 inland. up towards atlantic city, the beach there it looks south of you right now. we just have grays with this area of low pressure you see this here on satellite 6 along with action radar and the bulk of moved out to sea but a few showers are lingering in the spot you might want to vacation watch for that but it will clear out of here in a few hours. we see bright sunshine in philadelphia and north the clouds are staying stiff in southern new jersey and delaware that will take a bit to exit. 82 degrees, certainly warming up with the bright sunshine since the low pressure moved out quickly. but the breeze is kicking up 77

promised on the weather this weekend. >> it's friday and i've got good weather news, how about that? i'm delivering. lets take a look at stormtracker 6 live double scan, you can see that we are looking good through most of the region the one fly in the ointment, the showers that are hugging the coastline lets go in closer with double scan you can see who is getting these showers now parts of cape may and sea isle city, and atlantic city is looking dry and it's not too heavy at this point, southern delaware you are getting the showers as well. and we can go in closer there in bethany beach and lewes, delaware, it's mostly off the coast and dissipating. we can stay here down the shore. and look live in cape may, we are not looking at a lot of people on the beach because of that and surf is looking rough in cape may but weather is improving down the shore by the afternoon and the weekend is looking better, good news is

coming your way. lets check the numbers the dew point is way down there, 59 degrees, we are warming up with the fact that we have more sunshine and it feels kfrnlts out there check out the breeze easterly officially at philadelphia international airport sustained wind at 10 and we have seen much higher gustss than that. as we look at the temperatures we are stuck in the 70s with the clouds we showed you in cape may, 74 at the airport and 62 in the city and 79 in wilmington and 78 cooler in the northwest. satellite 6 along with action radar i wants to show you this tight shot first to look at the clouds, we started off cloudy in the city and right now along the i-95 cortore, you have the sunshine for the most part and they continue to push to the south and the rest of us enjoy a nice day as well. the area of low pressure is grazing us off the coast and the showers we are getting are going to dissipate and the clouds are moving out and giving way for a

investigation, and now they are looking for a woman in connection with a murder in philadelphia and the victim was a teen fwer. vernon odom is live on cross key street where it happened. vernon what have you learned. >> reporter: this deadly confrontation was triggered by a dispute by some teenage girls apparently. at this hour and this time the search is on for a killer and the search is just over 12 hours old. gun fire erupted here at midnight on the 1900 block of north cross key it took the life of a 19-year-old he was testing his sister when the gun fire erupted but his mother says that it was instigated by a 40-year-old woman and mcmillian succumbed to wounds in the stomach. >> the shooter, a female and
