racing off. several residents from a well-known drug rehab facility were arrested after they nearly overdosed on drugs. >> reporter: "action news" was on the scene in the 3200 morocco of henry avenue. calls to 911 four men overdosed and acting crazy. >> four males were transported to the hospital and acting unruly and becoming violent. >> police were called to bring them under control. the men appeared to be on a new synthetic drug called k-2. the. >> it's a synthetic marijuana that is here in philadelphia. it causes the users to become violent and had a hallucinate. >> reporter: police and paramedics have responded here numerous times over such incidents. back on may 8. a slew of paramedics after 12

sweep the place for drugs but after a few days, the drugs return. again, no comment from the people who run the facility. "action news" was on the scene as firefighter sprayed water on the burned out shell of the home. two-alarm placed was sparked on first avenue in hammonton atlantic county. everyone inside the home got out safely. there's no word on what may have sparked the fire. a former eagle fan favorite irving fryar has been convicted for his role in a mortgage scam. the 52-year-old applied for multiple morgue loans in quick succession using the same property as collateral. he faces up to ten years in

jail. james holmes will be spending life in prison for killing 12 people and wounding 70 others in the movie theater shooting. holmes was spared execution after one juror balked at the possibility of sentencing him to death. homes was automatically sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. republican candidates are in atlanta georgia to speak at the red state conservative conference except for the man who is leading in the poll. because of afternoon offensive comment he made. eric erickson said trump crossed the line making the comment

>> the pope's visit to philadelphia is just 7 weeks away transportation companies around the city are trying to prepare two traffic boxes will be in effect while the pontiff is here. one around center city the other stretching from center city to the 38th street in west philadelphia. officials say they cannot re-enter the traffic boxes once they left. no mention of uber drivers and shuttle services. >> if all else fails we'll bring them from the outside area and have the vehicles in the box area to transport them to their final destination. >> philly flash buses will not run during the visit but will offer extended services during the world meeting of family before the pope gets here. three day passes for trolley routes 01 -- 101 and 102 and the

clouds. musikfest tonight. culture club is the headliner mainly clear skies temperatures in time mid 70s. alicia. >> new from our delaware newsroom this morning a man is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in bear. the action cam was on the scene at route 40. police say the victim was trying to cross route 40 when he was hit by a car. a second car swerved to avoid him and ended up hitting the first car. the man was flown to the hospital in critical condition. no word on whether charges will be filed. a woman and four kids are seriously hurt after a crash in gloucester county. it happened around 8:30 on the 2,000 block of winslow road in monroe township. a woman lost volunteer of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole. the women and children were rushed to the hospital. no word on their conditions.

and american airlines plane landed safely at philadelphia international airport after crews declared an emergency just after takeoff. flight 669 took off from philadelphia just before 9:00 p.m. heading for seattle. flames were reported from its left engine visible enough to prompt calls to 911. the airbus 320 circled for half an hour and landed safely a half-hour later. luckily there was a calm, cool, collected pilot at the controls as we hear from his conversation with the to- tower. >> american airline believed some unburned fuel was burning

off as the plane took off, which is very common and no part of the plane was ever on fire. there was 138 people on board the flight, nobody was hurt. happening today pennsylvania attorney general kathleen kane is expected to surrenderer to face criminal charges. cane has been charged with purjury and obstruction of justice for allegedly leaking secret information to a newspaper reporter and lying under oath. she will be processed in norristown and arraigned by close circuit tv by a judge in collegeville. she plans to pleat not guilty and remain in office despite calls to step down from governor tom wolf. police are trying to track down the gunman who murdered a 22-year-old woman. friend and family held a vigil to remember the young mother. jeff chirico was there. >> reporter: with heavy hearts marchers rallied through port

richmond demanding justice for stephanie dzikowski the 22-year-old who was gunned down on the 3000 block of aramingo avenue. her 2-year-old daughter was nearby. ryan is her brother. >> i know she is looking down on us, smiling to get justice for her. >> we want to find out who did this and bring them in. >> reporter: more than 100 people wore shirts and carried signs. police don't think it was a random home invasion, but a close family friend can't imagine who would want to hurt the loving young mother. >> she had a magnetic personality. >> reporter: police obtained surveillance video which may show the killer running down aramingo. marchers marched the same path to send the message. stephanie dzikowski's boyfriend and father of her child pleaded with someone to tell police what
