pennsylvania's top prosecutor, a stoic, and silent kathleen kane walk in the montgomery county courtroom this afternoon to turn herself in on several criminal charges, including perjury, and conspiracy. "action news" reporter trish hartman was there for today's proceedings and she's live in norristown with the very latest, trish? >> reporter: well, eva, kathleen kane did not speak to the media today. she was brought to montgomery county detectives in norristown. she was processed, fingerprinted and arraigned via video on charges of perjury, obstruction, criminal conspiracy and official oppression. kane entered montgomery county building that houses the county detectives right on time saying nothing to reporters on the way in. on her way out using a different door a riding the media all together, instead her attorney spoke pointing out holes in the state's case begins kane. >> these players, it leaves out players, communications, it is really a very small part of the story. >> reporter: kane was arraigned by a magistrate

judge in collegeville 7 miles away using closed circuit television on charge that he is she leak confidential information to the philadelphia daily news last year, from a 2009 grand jury investigation and later lied about it under oath. prosecutors say that she did it in retaliation against a former state prosecutor, who allegedly made her look bad. that prosecutor, frank fina, who worked under then attorney general tom corbett and prosecuted jerry sandusky. in december a statewide grand jury which met in montgomery county recommended charges against kane. on thursday, prosecutors announced the charges against her. >> this is an important case for the citizens of the commonwealth of pennsylvania. it is a sad take in that there has been an arraignment for the chief law enforcement officer in the state. >> reporter: in 2012 kane became the first woman and democrat elected as pennsylvania's attorney general. the scranton area native first touted as a rising political star has said she will not

year-old man died at the hospital, a three three-year old man was critically wounded. the other victim a 59 year-old man who was listed in stable condition, and police are still trying to figure out what sparked, this violence. police are also trying to get to the bottom of a bizarre murder mystery in northeast philadelphia. investigators say a 21 year-old man was stabbed to death by a stranger, he may have been trying to help. "action news" reporter jeff chirico is live along the 7300 block of reveer street to explain, jeff? >> reporter: hey, eva the suspect police say was in this parking lot and he was pulling out of the parking lot, making a left here, going the wrong way on the one way street. some young people who had just left a bar apparently yelled to him that he was going the wrong way and that is when police say either the driver or a passenger got out of the vehicle and then stabbed a 21 year-old male. witness tells me he saw that male collapse and then pick it up from there.

>> come on, get up, get up. and then he did get up. but he didn't get up on his own. >> reporter: now, police, tell us it all happened before 3:00 . victim and friend were leaving a nearby bar when the confrontation broke out. we are told suspect stabbed the victim in the chest, shoulder and abdomen and then took off. victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. police say suspect was driving a dark blue or black ford f150 or 250, a pickup truck with a covered cab and police are not revealing the the name of the victim just yet. we do know that the philadelphia police are reviewing surveillance video from a nearby diner that video shows the truck leaving this parking lot and now search is on for the driver of that vehicle will will. we are live, from the northeast jeff chirico for channel six "action news" good thanks, jeff. philadelphia homicide detectives tell "action news" they are questioning three women in connection with another deadly stabbing

overnight. this one happened along 2700 block of oakford street in the grays ferry section. investigators say a 30 year-old man was stabbed once in the chest around 3:00 this morning and pronounced dead at the scene. so far no formal arrest has been made. authorities in gloucester county are still trying to determine what led up to a crash that killed a little girl. police say 31 year-old wand a smith ran off the 2,000 block of win low road in monroe township around 8:30 last night. williamstown woman's car, slammed in the utility pole. an eight year-old girl was killed, smith and three other children ranging in age from one to seven were rushed to the hospital. they are all listed in stable condition, and police say the child killed was the the only one, wearing a seat belt at the time. and amtrak is investigating the death of the pedestrian hit and killed by a keystone train this morning. it happened between thorndale and malvern stations around 10:00 a.m. amtrak says train 660 was carrying passengers from philadelphia to harrisburg at
