and, buena 71. it is i warm morning but very comfortable out there. satellite six with action radar we have cleared things out nicely down the new jersey shore. that little cloud mass, that is exiting stage right, that was all associated with that coastal storm that developed off the del marva yesterday. that produced high, thin cloud, and, strong wind down to the northeast, five, 25 miles an hour. today should be calmer. decent amount of sunshine and slight breeze. by 9:00. seventy-seven. 1:00 o'clock eight 46789 by 5:00, 85. we will top out at 86 in the city. cooler on the beaches. of course, always cooler in the poconos. i will have the the forecast for shore, poconos and city in a few minutes. we will talk about potential for severe weather in the seven day forecast, nydia. >> chris, thank you. new this morning fire forced people from their homes at philadelphia's frankford section. blaze broke out just after 6:30 here in the 4200 block of row main street. when fire fighters arrived they found heavy smoke pouring from the up are floor of the

home and they called in additional crews. they evacuated neighboring homes as a precaution. fire put it under control in a half an hour. there were no reports of injuries. also new a suspicious fire gutted a north philadelphia restaurant and the restaurant owner's home. action cam was at the scene in the 2400 block of north broad street. fire broke out a little bit before 2:00 in the three story vacant home on the block and quickly spread to another vacant home, and then ripped through asian american restaurant on the corner property. the owners were still in the restaurant at the time and then got out safely. but again restaurant vice badly damage and two store ace above the restaurant where they live is in bad shape. investigators believe someone may have started the blaze. a 21 year-old man is dead after crashing a car in center city. action cam was on the scene on the 400 block of lombard just after 3:30 this morning. police say driver was speeding when he lost control and slammed into a tree. car then crashed into a wall outside a community center

before finally landing on its side. driver died at the scene, three passengers in the car were not hurt. a 19 year-old college bound student is in serious condition after getting shot at his owning ago way party. it happened on the 16 hup block of, locust street in west philadelphia dozens of people came to the party to support the 19 year-old who was preparing to go to college. the at 10:45 last night someone at the the party started arguing with the teen outside the house. investigators say during that argument the suspect pulled the gun and shot the young man. victim is at penn presbyterian hospital. the suspect ran off and remains the loose. man remains in critical condition after being shot at a city play ground. it happened just before in midnight at the tarken playground in oxford circle. on the 6300 block of some are dale avenue. police say the 26 year-old victim was shot once in the chest. he was rush to the hospital. there is still no word on what spark the shooting. police are hoping surveillance video will lead them to the driver involved in the deadly confrontation in

northeast philadelphia. they say a man was stabbed to death, after he tried to flag down that driver going on the wrong way down the on way street. "action news" reporter jeff chirico has the details. >> reporter: family and friend mourned loss of thomas ewing a 21 year-old with dreams of keeping philadelphia safe as a police officer and new one of the cities latest victims of violence. >> we're all in shock we cannot believe it happen. >> super guy with which is whole future in front and then this happens. >> reporter: police say it happened on the 7300 block of reveer street at 2:40 a.m. ewing was walking home with friend when someone got out of the pickup truck and stabbed him in the chest, shoulder and abdomen and then took off. a witness said he saw ewing collapse. >> i looked down and said something is wrong. he was down. i saw the one kid, giving him cpr. and then he said, come on, come on, get up, get up. >> reporter: ewing was pronounced dead at the hospital. police say the confrontation

the officers discovered the dead. officers say there was already a warrant begins the gun man for an assault on a family member. in arlington, texas a medical examiner has rule the shooting death of a black college football player by a white police officer a homicide. the fbi and arlington officials are investigating the death of the unarmed teen which happen during a burglary call in the car dealership. authorities say officer brad miller shot 19 year-old christian heyward several times during the early morning incident on friday. officer miller is describe as a rookie nearing the end of 16 weeks of field training. >> no real problems, you know, just a good man. >> christian take already played defensive back at angelo state university. the football team has acknowledged taylor's death on his twitter page. new york city officials say a a it looks like legionnaires disease out break has been contain. they say even though five more buildings in the south bronx tested positive for bacteria, there is in sign of anyone in

77 degrees now here in philadelphia. temperatures are starting to spike. trenton 76. allentown 75. millville 71. poconos 69. reading at 73. satellite six with action radar showing a couple cloud across central pennsylvania. running along appalachians, in the valley, baltimore, d.c., down to richmond a few high thin cloud. that is it. that will thin out. we are not expecting anything threatening out there today. we will see a combination of sun and cloud throughout the afternoon but that is bit. models inching toward a spritz or sprinkle for lehigh valley. west of the western suburbs there is a chance of the shower but that is out of our viewing area overnight tonight, quiet, comfortable once again but after midnight we will start to see humidity increase a little bit. monday afternoon is a day that will start off with some sunshine, increasing high cloud during the the day and then maybe one or two showers developing in the far western suburbs after four or 5:00 o'clock in the afternoon.

happening right now philadelphia police are looking for leads after two deadly shootings just hours apart. tragedy in california, another fire fighter has been killed, battling those massive wild fires. and, remembering michael brown, people in missouri will be marching today to pay tribute to the teen on the

it. there were no injuries fortunately. philadelphia police are searching for the gun man in a triple shooting in kensington. it happened yesterday, on the 3200 block of e street. police say a 46 year-old man was shot in the chest and then killed. another man was shot in the back, and is at temple university hospital in critical condition. a third victim is in stable condition, and so far, there is in word on a motive. search is also on for suspects in the deadly shoot helping in north philadelphia. police were called to the 600 block of west mayfield street just after 6:00 last night. thats where they found a 29 year-old man shot in the head. he was pronounced dead at the scene. pennsylvania's top copies due back in court later this month to face charges of perjury and obstruction of justice. kathleen kane surrendered to authorities yesterday. as "action news" reporter trish hartman reports, both kane and her attorneys continue to deny any wrongdoing. >> reporter: kane entered the montgomery county building that houses the county detectives right on time saying nothing to reporters on her way in.

on her way out, using a different door, avoiding the media all together, instead her attorney spoke pointing out holes in the state's case begins kane. >> leaves out players, it leaves out communications, it is really only a very small part of the story. >> reporter: kane was arraigned by a magistrate judge in collegeville 7 miles away using closed circuit television on charges that kane leaked confidential information to the philadelphia daily news last year, from a 2009 grand jury investigation, and later lied about it under oath. prosecutors say that she did tonight retaliation against former state prosecutor who allegedly made her look bad. that prosecutor, frank fina who worked under then attorney general tom corbett and prosecuted jerry sandusky. in december, a statewide grand jury which met in montgomery county recommended charges against kane. on thursday, prosecutors announced the charges against her. >> this is an important case for the citizens of the commonwealth of pennsylvania. it is a sad day in that there

ferguson missouri by a white police officer. a peaceful march was yesterday in ferguson. the 18 year-old death sparked black lives matter movement and months of protest in st. louis and across the country. moment of silence will be held at a memorial created in brown's honor. then a silent march to take place at a church for a community services. zero seven years ago today the the u.s. dropped an atomic bomb on the city of nagasaki, japan killing 74,000 people. during today's solemn ceremony in front of the cities memorial honoring those killed by the the bomb, the city's mayor called for an end to all nuclear weapons. a bell told at 11:02 a.m. exact time that the bomb exploded seas. japan surrendered six days later ending world war two. an american solder is dead and several others wounded after a series of attacks in afghanistan's capitol. more than 40 people were killed and some 300 injured in the attacks in kabul on friday. it was the worst toll on

civilians in a single day in several years. the taliban has claimed responsibility for at least two of the bombings. another fire fighter a has been killed battling the the wild fire in the california. the u.s. forest service says that the fire fighter died when he was hit by a tree in the lake tahoe area. second fire fighter was hurt. meanwhile evacuation orders were lifted for hundreds of people who had been evacuated due to the massive fear near clear lakes, california. it is 70 percent contain, and 109 square miles in three counties. the national park service now says that montana man found dead in the yellow stone national park was a victim of the grizzly bear attack. traps have been set but officials have closed off the area until further notice. abc an "s" adidi roy has more. >> tragic day. >> reporter: this morning officials warning visitors of the one of the country's most iconic national parks. after a montana hiker was found mauled by a grizzly bear. >> the wild life at the

national park is wild. >> reporter: authorities say man whom they are not identifying had defensive wound own his forearms and they found partial tracks that a appeared to be an adult female grizzly and at least one cub were involved in the hiker's death. >> is there a bear on my car. oh, my god. >> reporter: there have been grizzly sightings at the park, this bear, caught on cameras in june, pounding on a car with children inside. >> i was a little bit scared. >> the bear basically was jumping on the car with his front paws. >> reporter: no one was injured in that incident but on average one person is injured in the grizzly attack every year. yellow stone's back country. according to the national park service. and, a grizzly can weigh as much a as five refrigerators and stand up to 8 feet tall. this attack is first death by a grizzly bear in the park since two hikers were killed in separate maulings in 2011. this video taken in yellow

officials say you want to be in your seats by 11:45. lower level seating is first come, first serve. attendance and parking is free. last chance to see eagles practice before their first preseason game, one week from today against the colts. live from south philadelphia trish hartman for channel six "action news". >> great day, thanks, trish. fire forced people from their homes in philadelphia's frankford section. the the blaze broke out just after 6:30 on the 4200 block of row main street. the fire fighters arrived to find heavy smoke from the upper floor of the home. they had to call in additional crews and evacuate neighboring homes as a precaution. the fire was put under control in a half an hour. there are no reports of any injuries. also new this morning, suspicious fire has gutted a north philadelphia restaurant and the restaurant owner's home. action cam was at the scene in the 2400 block of north broad street. the fire broke out a little bit before 2:00 in the three story vacant home on the block and quickly spread to another vacant home and then ripped

through asian american restaurant on the corner property. the owners were still in the restaurant at the time but got out safely. but again restaurant is very badly damaged and two stories above the restaurant where they live is in bad shape. up investigators believe someone may have started the blaze. a 21 year-old man is dead after a nasty crash, in center city philadelphia the action cam was on the scene on the 400 block of lombard street just after 3:30 this morning. police say the driver was speeding when he lost control and slammed into a tree. the car, then crashed into a wall outside of a community center before landing on its side. the driver died at the scene, and three passengers in the car, were not hurt. a 19 year-old college bound student is in serious condition after getting shot at his own going away party. it happened on the 1600 block of locust street in west philadelphia. police say dozens of people came to the party to support the 19 year-old as he was preparing to go to college. but at 10:45 last night someone the at the party started arguing with the teenager outside of the house. investigators say during that

argument the suspect pulled a gun and then shot the young man. the victim is at penn presbyterian hospital. the the suspect ran off and remains on the loose. a man remains in critical condition after being shot, at a city playground. it happened just before midnight at the target playground in oxford circle on the 6300 block have of somerdale avenue. police say the the 26 year-old victim was shot once in the chest. he was rushed to the hospital. there is still in word on what sparked the shooting. police are hoping surveillance video will lead them to the driver involved in a deadly confrontation in northeast philadelphia. they say a young man who inspired to be a police officer was stabbed to death after he tried to flag down the driver who was going the wrong way on a one way street. police are revowing video from a dine their showed that truck pulling out of the parking lot. police are looking for a black or dark blue, ford f150 or 250. if you know anything, you are urged to call the philadelphia police. in northeast philadelphia, jeff chirico for channel six "action news". developing right now, out of houston texas, police are looking for a motive in the murders of eight people, including, five children. police were called to the home late last night to check on the residents a man inside, began shooting at them. after an hour long standoff the gun man surrendered and officers discovered the dead. officers discovered there was a warrant against the gun man for an assault on a family member. in arlington, texas a medical examiner ruled shooting death of the black college football player by a white police officer a homicide. the fbi and arlington officials are investigating the death of the unarmed teen which happened during a burglary call in the car dealership. authorities say officer brad miller shot 19 year-old christian taylor several times during the early morning
