deadly hit and run and it happened outside of philadelphia police headquarters, a vehicle struck a man and kept going at franklin and gray streets, the victim died at the hospital, "action news" reporter walter perez is live at the scene with the latest information. >> reporter: hey guys, the crime scene was just cleared out and reopened to traffic as you can see, but it was here not 30 yards from the round house where the hit and run ended with the death of a man simply crossing the street. it was 9:45 this morning when a man walking the crosswalk at franklin street was hit by a bus. >> not sure if the bus dragged the pedestrian a couple of feet but the pedestrian died. >> his sneakers remain on the roadway at this hour as part of the crime scene, his name is not

released but is he described as a 46-year-old african-american man, they have surveillance video of the incident. but they are unsure who the bus belonged. >> we think it could be septa, but we are not sure, we'll get to the bottom of it i'm sure. >> police are looking at surveillance video of the hit and run and they describe the vehicle as a white bus with tinted windows. we expect them to release that video this afternoon, keep your eyes out for it on 6abc.com and we'll have more on this starting on "action news" at 4:00. walter perez, channel 6 "action news." >> all right walter thank you. now to accuweather and the strong possibility of more showers and storms this afternoon, sky 6 hd taking a live view of cape may, a fairly gloomy day at the shore, meteorologist, karen rogers is tracking the latest in for david murphy over at the big board. maybe a day for the big board.

>> stormtracker 6 live double scan the storm finally left cape may, you can go out there now, atlantic city and surf city, still with the morning showers that are hugging the coastline, in philadelphia we see the area of green, light rain through the region and jenkintown and willow grove, if we look again out to the west, we are noticing, we see some cells develop, we expect showers and thunderstorms, one engineer coatesville and one near lancaster. we don't expect it to be terribly widespread but six lightning strikes right now in mt. pocono as we have steadier rain pulling through. we are dealing with scattered showers right now and the front is still out to the west and we have a ways before we squeeze out the atmosphere and get the showers and thunderstorms firing up in the region, we have a

investigation determined that the truck driver was going too fast. wal-mart driver, kevin roper was charged with vehicular homicide. police are looking for two suspects in a road rage stabbing, this is route 88 and jack martin boulevard in brick township, police say that three people in an accura, with new york plates began to yell at a toms river man driving with his family in the jeep. the jeep driver was stabbed with a small knife, the suspects two men and a woman drove away. another night of protests in ferguson, missouri, ended with two dozen arrests, protesters marking the app verse of the fatal shooting of michael brown. >> reporter: with the state of emergency in effect here in ferguson, we did not see a repeat of the violence and gun fire we saw earlier this week

but there was a heavier police presence that led to arrests. police and protesters face off again on the streets of ferguson, missouri, police officers in riot gear used maze after they were hit by rocks and frozen water bottles, armed citizens were out in public, they claim to prevent another life of looting. >> at least 23 people were arrested and no one was seriously hurt. >> the growing tension follows days of protest shutting down streets and highways to mark the one year anniversary of michael brown's dental the hands of officer darren wilson. >> multiple shots fired. >> plain clothes police officer

of more this afternoon? >> we are already starting to see some of the storms beginning to develop. lets look at stormtracker 6 live double scan around the region, and you can see that the morning rain, that is hugging the coastline now near toms river but it's mostly off the coast, as we go into tighter, we see showers and storms taking place, if you are along route 30 in burlington county, you are getting showers and heavier rain, in woodbury a few showers, and not a big deal. coatesville a bit of a heavier shower, near oxford right now, near honey brook, but farther to the north near mt. pocono we have 12 lightning strikes and heavier rain and thunderstorms beginning to develop there, a wider look, you can see not a whole lot happening yet. and outside here is an ominous view of sky 6 look looking live. as the storms begin to take

shape, they are not really widespread but scattered in nature, 76 degrees right now in philadelphia, the dew point is 70 in edition to the atmosphere in spots it feels so humid out there, when we get a shower or thunderstorm, we get a chance for showers with that. wins out of the west at 14 miles per hour, satellite 6 along with action radar showing the rain moved in and heavy rain in the overnight hour and now taper off and now storms and thunderstorms are beginning to develop out to the west, that needs to cross the region, future tracker 6 showing at 3:30 in the afternoon we have scattered storms here and there with good downpours together and 6:00 peppered through the area but not everybody gets it and then it moves out of here by the evening hours, leads look at what to expect. 3:00 p.m. 8:00 degrees that is your high today, by 5:00 p.m. 80

degrees and then they are exiting the coastline and 9:00 p.m. they are exiting the shore. if you were at the shore you are the last to get the thunderstorms this afternoon and cloudy skies for the most part with a late thunderstorm and 78 degrees, you should be basically dry for musikfest at 8:30, are you mostly dry if are you seeing reba mcintyre. and things clear out nicely for tomorrow, clouds and sunshine and a high of 81 degrees and the humidity drops. it's a change for tomorrow, you can see the real dip coming for thursday, a glorious day before the humidity comes right back up. humid today with a few thunderstorms scattered through the region and anyone of them could be strong and 82 is your high, a chance of a shower and dry. and 85 degrees, and on friday,
