david henry. >> reporter: good evening, you could see that the other shoe has dropped now in terms of major restrictions for pedestrians and vehicles, during the pope's visit, you will recall last week they announced a traffic box that stretches river to river from spring garden to girard and there are two new security zones within the box, we'll show it to you now, see the outlined areas at the independence mall area, those are restricted secure stones that are available to pedestrians only and the red lines represent fences, you'll have to pass through medal detecters to get to the red zone, furnish back you see a red line, no vehicles can move within those black lines and all vehicles on those streets on thursday even will have to be

removed from the streets. you can move around the restst traffic box but it's difficult according to the mayor with upwards of a million visitors walking through the streets of philadelphia. one note of the that black zone, it's a secure zone, no vehicles can go in or out but if have you a parking garage or lot, can you leave your vehicles there, however i am just told that you will not be able to leave that parking garage and you will not be able to move out of that parking lot if your vehicle is within that zone until sometime monday. so the mayor and the rest of the city officials are urging anyone that lives within that zone to start preparing as if it were a major snow storm coming. >> by friday, make sure you have taken care of much of your personal or critical business, that you, depending on where you

live, that you got your groceries and filled out and received your prescriptions and have taken care of the things you need to get done over what will be a busy and joyful weekend. >> we have also been told by the mayor that the city services, a lot of city government will be shut down in the week leading up to the pope's visit and in addition the philadelphia schools are closed wednesday 23rd through friday 25th, they will decide on monday as if it were a snow day if schools will be closed. that announcement will be made monday morning, get ready a lot of changes and restrictions and a lot of problems heading to center city but the mayor and everyone else associated with this event, just live with it it will be a joyous event and we'll get through it somehow. >> thank you.

transportation challenge. that is ronny, outlining plans for the pope's visit, the atlantic city rail line will make no stops from the shore to philadelphia and 6500 tickets are available during the light rail, special passes will be required and njt is selling them online starting saturday. >> we think we'll be at capacity, we are careful, if you are riding the river line or atlantic city rail line, you have to have a special event ticket. >> once the bridge closes on friday september 25th, all philadelphia bus routes end in camden and 676 will be shut down from the admiral wilson boulevard to the bruth. >> we are expected thousands of people to come through this hub in camden, it's an all hands on deck approach. there are just 1100 parking spaces for registered buses and

consumed by flames. we continue to follow the plans for pope francis' visit to philadelphia for the world meeting of families. >> plans for schools, and situations in the so-called traffic box, the overall message is be prepared. this is the newest look at the security zone that officials have in place when the pontiff is in town. on september 24th thursday all vehicles have to be off city streets within the black lines. and another fence will go around independence hall 10:00 p.m. friday night and michael nutter announced closings of public schools and government offices this after the enforcement of traffic boxes, these steps are all key to a safe event.

all the restaurant got quiet and is looking at our table. that is a lot of butter. it's vacation, i get it. we have steamed vegetables here and tonight their special is filet mignon, look at the blue cheese and lobster tail and crab cake, i would eat and talk at the same time, but that is bad manners, temperatures now at the shore, it's feely pretty nice, 80 degrees around there, some areas in the upper 70s, as we head inland, philadelphia edwards high was 83 degrees, right now we are sitting at 83 and wilmington 82 and allentown 79 and millville 82 degrees, as we look at satellite and radar, high pressure is in control and that is squashing the cloud cover and keeping the whole mid-atlantic dry in much of the lower part of the united states east of the rockies, and that

unveiled new maps that unveiled secure zones and fences. >> reporter: mayor nutter is urging everyone to get into the spirit of this once in a lifetime event and that may not work for the people that live in the city given the pedestrians that live in the city today. the maps spell it out. starting thursday, september 24th, security fencing go up on the red outlines here from city hall to the art museum along the parkway ain large area around independence mall, those areas are open to pedestrians only and they have to go through metal detecters to get inside and the black line is a security zone and no vehicles are allowed inside of that boundary, all vehicles will have to be removed from the streets by friday nights. >> parking garages and folks
