line of duty, how family and friends honored moses walker this morning. but the big story is the shoot that left a child in critical condition, a 10-year-old boy was shot in the head overnight in wilmington. katherine scott is following the story all morning long. >> reporter: sara, what exactly happened here early this morning remains under investigation, we know that that 10-year-old boy remains in the hospital in critical condition, police have cleared away the crime scene tape, you can see the screen they were dusting for fingerprints earlier outside of that home, there are a lot of questions that remain and so far no arrests have been made. a line of police vehicles followed the ambulance early this morning that rush aid 10-year-old boy to the hospital, just before 2:00 a.m., police were called to the 700 block of townsend place and wilmington,

when police arrived a 10-year-old boy was found shot in the head, he was taken to the hospital in critical condition, people that work and live nearby are in shock. >> terrible. you know unbelievable. it's the time we live in. >> for hours police combed the area searching inside and outside of the home for evidence, they collected a piece of clothing from behind this air conditioning unit and dusted for fingerprints by this front door and examined this car nearby, councilwoman came by the scene to offer comfort to the family or those that live nearby. >> there is no safe place anywhere, our children cannot go out and play and now they can't be in their own homes. >> a stop the violence prayer chain foundation is out here this evening at 6:00, to hold a candle light vigil for this little boy, we are live in

breaking news from the southwest section of southwest philadelphia where police were on the scene of what was a shooting here, it happened before noon time, this is 56th street and angora, a number of officers are trying to investigate and trying to find out what happened. one person was shot on this street, we saw police officers trying to mark shell casings and there looks like there might be some blood in the street, no word on the condition of the victim that was shot. or any information on the suspect. there is yellow tape there on the top of your screen, and it's near a day care, the one, two, three back to basics day care. the investigation is underway

precipitation between now and 4:00, we are mainly dry and the slight chance of a pop-up shower and an isolate the thunderstorm and most of you will not see that today, by 8:00 that is all off the map. up in allentown a high of 89 degrees, warm and not as hot as yesterday and an isolate the thunderstorm will not be ruled out. down the shore we are looking at a nice day on the beach, a high of 86 in atlantic city, lots of sun and humid conditions especially as you go inland and in the water we are looking at temperatures close to 70 and in some cases we are looking at the 6:00 and 70s, 93 is your high today. sun and occasional cloud cover, we'll post an isolated storm but winds are out of the south at 7 to 14 miles per hour, overnight 75 and muggy this evening, an isolate the thunderstorm, the big story is it's still warm overnight and on the muggy side.
