court appearance, the judge told him to wait until the proper moment. >> i have to follow the rules so just be patient. >> we all have to follow the rules. >> but the government says that fattah broke the rules to pay off a campaign loan for his unsuccessful run for mayor in 2007 he and four others are charged in a racketeering scheme, that they funneled money through a nonprofit and other companies to repay the loan. two that benefitted they said were his wife and his son, chaka fattah jr., who is facing charges in a separate case. fattah says he plans to stay in office and run for re-election, i fully expect when we vet these

one at the day care was hurt. police made an arrest in connection with the shooting of a 10-year-old boy in wilmington. the boy remains in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head. john rawlins is live now with the ratest. >> reporter: police returned an hour, hour and a half ago, they announced they arrested jahlil goldsboro, for possession of a firearm that he is accused of having that caused injury or death to another and there could be additional charges that relates to a shoot that occurred in a unit here at 2:00 a.m. police were called to the 700 block of townsend place, they found a disturbing scene, a 10-year-old boy shot in the head and he was rushed to the hospital, he was in critical but stable condition on a

ventilator. the boy's grandmother said this morning that she hoped that police could find the answer. >> i don't know what happened, i want to know what happened, because i have concerns. >> beginning overnight, investigators searched for clues outside, and after obtaining a warrant, councilwoman stopped by to many help the family, was alarmed by an epidemic of gun violence in her city. >> it's so vast, the guns are being flooded into the communities, none of us manufacturer drugs or guns. >> this is a developing story or so it appears, about 15 officers, detectives from the look of it surrounded another unit three doors down from where the 10-year-old was shot they

took a man into custody without incidents. it's not clear if this relates to the shooting or not but authorities may have more to say at a later time. live in wilmington, john rawlins, channel 6 "action news." an escaped prisoner is back in custody, police say he kicked out the back window of a transport van and ran off. it happened in lower heidelberg township, the suspect was found 90 minutes late senior hiding in a tree, three other prisoners were in the transport vehicle at the time. we are just a few week as way from pope francis's visit and hotels say they still have rooms available. hotels expect to be soldout during the week of september 26th, but that has not happened. they are trying to get the word out that rooms are still available and there are rooms for under $100 available using

the coast guard in atlantic city was called in to rescue a man in the poconos mountains, the man fell in the delaware water gap early this morning and they came on the scene and hoisted the man with several broken bones to safety. the worker had several broken bones and was flown to lehigh valley hospital in allentown for treatment. an investigation is underway to find out who vandalized a park in egg harbor, new jersey, the street association says a hockey court was vandalized sometime between sunday night and monday evening, the plastic floor was damaged and could cause $45,000 to repair and they believe that someone tried to break into the concession stand last week. authorities are investigating the tragic death of a 2-year-old that drown in a neighbor's swimming pool, it
