sheriff's deputy with a knife, if the suspect's name sounds familiar he was in the news before. they identified the attacker as curtis smith of coatesville. a man that made national headlines earlier this year. >> he appears to be the same individual that jumped the white house fence in march of this year. >> that smith allegedly barged into the courthouse at noon today wielding a knife. >> he said, i'm going get you i'm going to get you and i heard pop pop pop and it was the sheriff shooting him. >> but before he was shot another deputy received knife wounds to his arm and chest. >> and the courthouse was put on lockdown because of all of this, we spoke to relieved people that were allowed to leave the building a short time later. >> i'm happy to finally make it

central detectives bureau with the latest. >> reporter: it's called the powell funeral home and is now under investigation for abusing corpses, just a few minutes ago i got off the phone with the state board of funeral directors and that this funeral home shouldn't have been doing any work because their license expired last year. >> corey caring ton walked by the garage at 2626 haggard and something didn't smell right so he when inside. >> we walked past and when inside and saw a body inside and called 911. >> they found two additional decomposed bodies.

live in center city, chad pradelli, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. a gloucester county roller rink owner is behind bars after allegedly having inappropriate can't with children. 46-year-old john carlo of franklin township, turned himself in yesterday. he owns the franklin skating center and according to police he showed porn to a child on a laptop inside of the skating facility last month. is he held on $200,000 bail and anyone with more information is asked to call the gloucester prosecutors office. police are trying to track down a man who used pepper spray to rob two 7-eleven stores, the suspect is seen on surveillance video asking for three packs of cigarettes and then spraying the clerk with pepper spray, and

feels nice out there. these numbers are dropping which is a good thing, if you want a fall feeling around here and the humidity we have wiped it away, take a look at the numbers, upper 70s to low 80s north and west of philadelphia, with full sunshine and 85 in wilmington and low 80s at the shore. and although philadelphia is 88 degrees and trenton 87, the numbers don't feel that hot because of the humidity that has really dropped off, and it's in the mid-50s from allentown to philadelphia, feeling humid along the shore, 61 in cape may and 75 tropical feeling there in beach haven and long beach island, they were the last to clear out and now the wedge of really dry air along i-95 and then as you head to the west, pittsburgh and buffalo, the clouds build again with low pressure over the great lakes, temperatures drop out of the 80s

vice president joe biden has president obama's blessing to enter the race for the white house, but it's unclear if he will. he lunch at the white house yesterday and a senior democrat told cnn that the president gave him the green light if he wanted to run. the vice president's office continues to down play the rumors as speculation. meantime jeb bush is taking on donald trump's immigration plan, trump visited the border yesterday to discuss his plans. he blasted trump's plan and says it strips them of their civil liberties. attorney general kathleen kane according to a new poll

should resign. kane is heading to trial on charges she leaked confidential grand jury information and then lied about it under only. kane has said she plans to run for re-election but 34% say they disapprove and only 20% approved. cane is due back in court in october. the ntsb is investigating a deadly plane crash in new york and the agency says that it all happened that the air traffic controller told him to land on a runway that has been closed since 1990, patrick milo reported a problem with his plane nine days ago and the controller gave him several options including landing on a nearby runway but that airport closed 25 years ago.

that is dropping this evening and tonight, we are looking live now at cape may's sky 6, the southerly wind off the tip of cape may, warm and less humid and to the north and west, lancaster and allentown 81 degrees, a drop from yesterday afternoon, the cold front is off the coast the last area of showers and showers that skirted the coastline but we are edged in the dry air, to the west an upper level low, a lot of cold air aloft, and showers to the north and west of pittsburgh, that will stay there and as the clouds try to bump their way over the mountains in pennsylvania, it rips them apart and we won't see much in the way of clouds, clear skies and comfortable and most of the suburbs, dropping back into the 50s and 65 philadelphia and still warm along the shore, because the ocean is still 78 degrees, bumping up the number for cape may and atlantic city.

call me kate costume. a deadly shooting inside of a justice center, a man infamous for jumping the fence of the white house back in march, that man curtis smith of coatesville slashed a sheriff's deputy with a knife and cut his arm and wrist and another deputy shot smith and he was pronounced dead a short time later, the deputy is suppose to be okay and authorities are trying to determine smith's photoives. the violence was not limited to chefrt coins, to people were shot and wounded in delaware county. for more on what happened there, we turn to "action news" reporter, dann cuellar who is live at the scene. >> reporter: rick police and crime scene investigators are here gathering evidence, they

are said to be in stable condition in the hospital. we are live in glenolden, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. police say a gunman used a t-shirt and bicycle to rob a deli on monday, surveillance video shows him riding to the deli with a shirt wrapped around his head and then the gunman rushed the counter and demanded cash after taking handfuls of money he took off without hurting the clerk. detectives in west oak lane are looking for two burglars that made no effort to hide their crime, they captured the burglars casually walking up to the home carrying a ladder and they climbed in through a second story window and from they they carted off a safe and a gun. if you have any information on the break-in, philadelphia police want to hear from you.

a wrong way driver in utah led police on a wild chase down a busy interstate and the whole thing was caught on camera. >> we have traffic shut down, i don't know what she is doing. still going the wrong way but traffic is all the way down to a stand still. >> police say that 32-year-old natalie peterson drove the wrong way down the highway despite repeated attempts to stop her. they stopped her by ramming her car twice. >> she got off on foot and tried to carjack other cars in the area and they had to take her into custody. >> they believe that peterson was driving under the influence and fortunately no one else was hurt. >> we stumble from time to time
