arrest warrant who police say was behind the wheel during a hit and run in april. and the first eyewitness accounts of the shooting in virginia. and the big story is the search for a suspect after a wild police chase and carjacking, the commotion started at 12:30 this morning during a routine traffic stop at 13th stroot in philadelphia. it ended with a crash and two women badly shaken up. >> reporter: rick, detectives here at the south division know who they are looking for and that is because the suspect left behind his inmate identification card in the car he left behind, so far he has not been taken into custody. >> all of a sudden i heard this crazy sound. that was one of the crashes along the path of a suspect that police say fled from officers and carjacked a vehicle, it all started at 12:30 this morning in

philadelphia. police pulled over the mustang for running stop signs and driving radically, the mustang traveled several blocks smashing into two parks cars including this one. >> i heard the car crash and then i heard people get out of the car and they were screaming. >> after crashing the mustang, the suspect got out and carjacked a nearby nissan ultima, that had four people inside. the suspect forced the driver out but took off with two women in the backseat. >> several people witnessed this carjacking and wepts into pursuit. the women said he fled on foot, and the women drove to ninth andwityner where they flag down an officer. >> after carjacking the vehicle he took off with two vehicles in

the backseat. >> reporter: none of the victims were seriously injured and so far the police have not released the suspect's name and south detectives want to hear from you if you have any tips. katherine scott, 6 abc. >> one person was hurt in this crash involving an suv and a van in philadelphia's bustleton section, chopper 6 hd was over the scene of reed road and bloomfield avenue, the aftermath of the crash ended up in the driveway of a home with the van flipped over and the suv on top of it. >> "action news" reporter, trish hartman is on the scene and has a live update on "action news" at 12:30. this just in to "action news" now, philadelphia police have issued an arrest warrant for this man, 22-year-old miguel cologne. police say that cologne hit josephine rivera and her 2-year-old son david, as they were getting out of a car,

rivera survived and her son did not. philadelphia police are offering a $20,000 reward for any information leading to cologne's arrest. and an emergency as tropical storm erika heads towards the u.s., it has already hit several places killing four people. is expected to be a tropical storm when it hits landfall, but if it was a hurricane it will would be the first to hit in a decade. and it should be another picture perfect day but the heat and humidity is making a come back, sky 6 looking at the center city skyline, wall-to-wall sunshine with temperatures in the 80s and we'll warm up for the weekend and most of next week. meteorologist, melissa magee is live outside with a preview of the accuweather forecast. happy friday melissa. >> happy friday to you rick too. the humidity is coming back but

hospital but expected to make a full recovery. back in this area one firefighter was hurt battling a house fire in berks county last night. it broke out on the 500 block in reading, the first firefighters on the scene had to call for backup because of how strong the flames were, the house was vacant at the time and so far no cause is determined. >> three row homes caught fire in camden this morning, the action cam was on the 1100 block of mechanics street. fire officials say only one home was on fire and the flames quickly spread to neighboring home, no word on damage that the fire actually caused. more than 200 young people dedicated themselveses to making sure that studentses have a successful school year ahead. philadelphia held a pep rally to serve the students in 14 philadelphia public schools, the
