apartment buildings. >> let's go live to trish hartman. good morning. trish. >> reporter: good morning, eva and nydia, that officer is in stable condition officer mark handily from the ridley park police department. we take a look at video from overnight. officers from norwood, ridley and trainer and prospect park responded to the mohawk mannor apartment for report of a suicidal man. officers were speaking to the man through the door, he fired a gun hitting the officer in the chest and the leg. the officer was wearing a bullet proof vest and was rushed to crozer-chester medical center in stable condition. a standoff took place for two hours according to police, we have video officers in swat

unfortunately it will stay dry, as well. i'll have more coming up in just a little bit. guys. >> this story is developing overnight out of south jersey, a 69-year-old man killed by a hit-and-run driver. police say they are talking to the driver an 18-year-old. he was driving a pick up when he walked across the delsea drive. the man had taken a taxi to the diner when he realized that it was closed and the taxi was gone, he tried to cross delsea drive. the driver went home and told his dad he thought he he had run into a deer according to police, the father called police, the driver is being questioned but not arrested. turner field atlanta at that, georgia, a baseball fan fell to his death. >> the players on the field don't see any of this. >> reporter: the man in his 60s fell from the upper deck.

he said mark handley is in stable condition at the hospital. he is doing well. here's what we know from police, officers from several departments norwood, ridley park trainer and prospect park responded to the mohawk apartments in norwood around 1:00 a.m. the officers were speaking to the man through the door of the apartment when he fired the gun through the front door hitting the officer in the chest and the leg. hanley was wearing a bullet-proof vest. he was rushed to crozer-chester medical center in stable condition. we have video of police in swat gear, the apartment building was evacuated for the safety of the residents as police tried to take the suspect into custody. the residents have been allowed back into their homes. we spoke to the norwood police chief earlier this morning about
