of rain fell on charleston. 3 to 4 feet of water flooded homes and closed streets and a mudslide closed a major highway. well, you can see that storm system swirling off the coast of south carolina. the remnants from what was tropical storm erika now making its way into the atlantic. the family of a woman killed on a san francisco pier in july is filing a lawsuit. the death of kate by an undocumented felon from mexico sparked outrage among those to be named in the suit being filed today are the san francisco sheriff, the bureau of land management and immigration and customs enforcement, the gun the suspect used was stolen from a land management agent's car. we're learning more about the suspect charged with killing darren goforth ambushed last week. shannon miles who appeared in court yesterday spent four months in a psychiatric clinic after being found mentally incompetent to stand trial. president obama has condemned
