falling on stairs while battling the blaze. a police officer is recovering from a stab that happened at 8:30, the sister from tinicum township was taken to penn presbyterian hospital in stable condition. he was on assignment at the time. a suspect was taken into custody. >> a south jersey teenager who died while on a sleep away camp this weekend was remembered at a vigil. hundreds gathered at a voorhees field where kara lemanowicz spent a lot of time playing soccer and will lacrosse. she was attending a soccer sleep away camp when she passed away in her sleep. codey remains in stable condition at university pennsylvania vet hospital. the he fell 15 feet from a cat

walk while searching a middle school after the door was unlocked. >> he fell off a ledge and maybe had traumatic injuries on the way down. >> when he became will a lethae was airlifted to penn. it was program created in 2009. the transport may have saved cody's life, the dog's partner has been at his side at the hospital. five were allegedly involved in several home invasions and assaults and other crimes. one incident was an unprovoked attack that left one student with a broken jaw, three of the accused were starters for the scarlet knights.

patco will be returning to a normal schedule between monday and thursday morning, but it is starting a revised schedule beginning thursday midday and running through sunday night. the revised schedule remains in effect through october. people hoping to get an up-close glimpse of pope francis during the world meeting of families tickets will be available online tuesday. those hoping to see the papal mass on saturday, the 26. there will be tickets available for sunday's mass, those tickets will give you access to stands in the 2 1/2 blocks closest to the stage or alter. go to the website at 6abc.com. for all the information on the tickets the list of prohibited items during the pope's visit and road closures. >> temple owls fans are waking up this morning and rubbing

after being bitten or bumped by a shark possibly a hammer head in the waters off malibu, california. i guess he has a shark painted on his kayak. he was fishing with a friend at the time. >> we were talking and then we saw this if i know and then it dove, we didn't see it for like five minutes, all of a sudden he had his foot over the side and just got bit. >> who sees a shark and

sand with a dewpoint of 68. that number will drop down later on. wind out of the east/northeast at 5 miles per hour. the water temperature is 76. the big concern for the jersey shore continues to be the elevated risk for rip currents. yesterday we had the moderate to high risk. we had several instances where the lifeguards had to come in and rescue the swimmers. pay attention to the lifeguards. seas 3 to 4 feet. winds out of east at 10 to 15 miles per hour. the burn time on the sand is 20 to 25 minutes, nice and comfortable across the board here. upper 60s north and west, low 70s south and east, philadelphia, 73. trenton, 69. reading, 666 look at lancaster only 65 degrees. winds still out of the northeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour. later this afternoon they will begin to shift? more of a southeast direction and eventually south tomorrow and southwest tuesday and wednesday that's when all the heat and humidity all the soup

saturday, slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm thursday, another chance friday, most of us will stay dry it's not a widespread rain. >> good news there. the. thanks, chris. this is dramatic video of a man being pulled away from his burning car in monroeville allegheny county. the car burst into flames after the driver lost control and hit a utility pole. four strangers stopped after the crash and tried to douse the flames, but they were too intense. they pulled the injured driver to the safety. one rescuer was the firefighter. >> they are the heros, they are not trained to do this. they could have ran, it was a bad bad fire, a bad scene, but they stayed and helped until the very end. >> the driver was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. a passenger in the car was able to get out of the car before it burst into flames.

taking live look in cape may. you can see very few people popping up on the beach early this morning. the beaches boardwalks and stores are beginning to crowd with families. trish hartman was down the shore last night and has more. after a day of soaking up the sun, folks say they are enjoying the night life with the last unofficial weekend of the summer. the big sound of the big roam -- romeo filled the sea 'til l isle city downtown. it's a regular treat for the people. >> i love the concerts. the weather has been great, it's time for it to end. we've had an incredible summer. >> crowds waited patiently forum yum ice cream. it's a great season, that will come to a close september 20th. >> it's busy and fast and fun.

join the extremist group. in chicago, the fbi made a plea to the public as the manhunt continues for the suspects of the killing of three police officers. they are looking at new surveillance video they hope that could catch those killing the officer from last week. the video shows the suspects. the fbi is asking for anyone who recognizes the men to come forward they are hoping for help and tips related to the shooting. he was shot and killed last tuesday, just before that shooting he road that he was chasing three men. by the time backup arrived, he was found dead. funeral services will be held tomorrow. in las vegas, police have arrested and charged a man with dui in connection with the a deadly bus crash. 24-year-old ran a red light and smashed into a minibus, the collision caused the bus to overturned and the car to spin around and hit another car. two people inside the bus were

killed. three others injuries. police charged him with two counts of deferment -- dui that resulted in test. kim davis remains behind bars a judge found her in contempt of court. she said iraning the licenses would conflict with her religious beliefs. a deputy clerk is issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. >> turning to the white house, hillary clinton can't escape the private e-mail scandal that's haunting her campaign. she admitted that her family paid a state department companies employee to maintain her server. pagliano told the house committee he would invoke his right against self incrimination
