jersey, the false alarm that brought the bomb squad to a playground and a carjacking leads to a police chase and hostage situation inside of a restaurant, how the police finally took the suspect down. but the big story is an fbi raid that turned deadly in delaware county, federal agents tried to issue a search warrant where shots were fired and one person was killed. trish hartman is live with more on what led up to the shooting. >> reporter: rick, the scene is still active this noon, we are at the corner of 6th street and highland avenue, this unfolded at the end of the block of highland avenue, you can see the fbi on scene and chester police, authorities say that one man was killed and at least one other person was taken into custody after this violent child pornography raid in chester. lets look at video from earlier

this morning, police say that federal agents were serving a warrant at a home at the 600 block of highland avenue, authorities were confronted a man with a gun and shots were exchanged and the suspect was hit and died at the scene. several other people were in the home at the time. neighbors were disturbed to learn about the nature of this raid. >> too many children running upp down the street here and i have a lot of nieces and nephews of my own. but his mother and father live there had with him, they didn't bother anybody in the neighborhood. we didn't think anymore of it. >> reporter: now the suspect's identity is not released. officers are in and out of this home all morning, we are live in chester, trish hartman, channel 6 "action news."

>> today is the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. and new york city paused this morning at the site were some many people lost their lives. [ bells ringing ] here at ground zero, families gathered for the tradition of tolling bells and nearly 3,000 names read that died in 2001. the president and first lady stepped outside for a moment of silence and there and secretary of defense ash carter had a moment of silence in schwenksville, pennsylvania. the city of philadelphia is also reflecting on 9/11 this morning, firefighters and police marched through center city to honor those, they ended at the state

double scan here is the moisture we had in our region late last night into the early morning hours, it's moving out of maine and in philadelphia we picked up 4.7 inches, nearly 5 inches of moisture, 5 inches of rain in the area, we are drying out for the rest of today, the dew point is a level of moisture in the air and they are still in the lower 60s, you notice the particles coming in from the other direction and that lowers the atmosphere and humidity as we move through our friday and the start of our weekend, as we step out today, we have a double header, the phils taking on the cubs, lets play two today and the second game at 11:00 p.m. tonight, the ninth inning the temperature 70 degrees, lower humidity for us on our friday, we are dry today and the showers return just in time for the start of our weekend tomorrow and also cooler both saturday and sunday with the taste of

pilot of a small plane that crashed into the ocean near atlantic city, the single engine aircraft went down a few miles off the coast. the man identified as dr. michael moore was headed to the atlantic city airport, when he crashed into the ocean. they are searching with boats and helicopters. schools in phoenix, arizona, are telling their buss to stay off highway 110, as there is a series of shootings targeting drivers, a bullet hole was found in the side of a truck, that bring its to 11 shootings in 12 days. they are looking for an experienced shooter and keeping and eye out for possible copycats. deputies in los angeles county are trying to learn more
