center city philadelphia. police are evacuating a wide area because of a suspicious object which is on a bench at 11 and locust and the concern here well police state concern is that it is a pressure cooker bomb. lawmen are evacuating businesses between 12 and locust and 10 and walnut. others are being told toll shelter in place. septa is also rerouting bus routes from the area as well. obviously this is a very fluid situation and we will update you as soon as we can. >> and tonight the search continues for driver of a burgandy pontiac. police say that is the kind of car that hit a police officer on a motorcycle today in the city of chester. the cop is okay and the driver of the car is a hit-and-run fell felon and lawmakers want to bring him to justice. >> jeff chirico what is the

latest. >> hey, jim, sources tell "action news" the name of that injured officer is daniel hoffman. he's veteran of this force. he was pretty banged up in today's crash and is expected to make a full recovery meanwhile as you said, police here at headquarters asking for the public's help in tracking down the driver of the hit-and-run car and that is a car with very distinct feature features. >> chopper 6 over the scene east fourth and morton as rescue crews respond call of injured chester police officer just before 3:00. police say that officer daniel hoffman was riding his motorcycle when the driver of a car made it illegal left turn, clipped him and took off. hoffman fell off and the bike kept going hitting an suv. police commissioner joseph bail says the hit-and-run driver absolutely knows what he or she did. >> you cannot miss these motorcycles. and when the bike goes down and goes 30, 40 feet you have to know what's happening.
