dhol was a factor. new jersey state police are searching for leads in a shooting. a man was found shot in the head in fairhill township cumberland county. the man was rushed to cooper university hospital in critical condition. who pulled the trigger and why remain unanswered. 67 david sees died doing what he loved. the small plane he was piloting went down taking off from camden county airport plunging into the backyard of the home. his friend witnessed it all. what he heard could shed light on the tragedy. >> reporter: le single engine -- the single engine plane crashed into the woods in marlton. the pilot flew over the home of a friend.

the long time family friend was doing a traditional fly by when he heard the plane in trouble. >> i heard the plane drop i heard him to throttle back up, next thing i know i hear the tree hit i come running out back, the plane was smashed against the tree. >> reporter: that was at 11:15 a.m. waterford township ems and fire responded. >> the plane had heavy damage from a crash into a wooded area. >> reporter: nobody on the ground was hurt and sees was the only occupant. >> he loved to fly. i asked him last time when he was out i said when are you going to take me out in your plane. >> reporter: according to facebook post he was given an award for his military service in vietnam. his family said he died doing what he loved. >> he was a great gay.

on. we're crystal clear, yesterday we had the showers and downpours, jersey shore picking up rains far western suburbs. reading and allentown, picked up pretty good downpours. now everything is starting to clear out and cool down. temperature-wise we started out the week on a rather hot note. tuesday's high 94. keep in mind the normal temperature is 81. wednesday, 93. the cold front came in, thursday, 81. friday, 83 and yesterday 78 degrees with all that cloud cover. today we'll be lucky to hit 73, 74. so the numbers continue to drop off. 60 in reading. lancaster, 58. allentown, 61. poconos 57 and philadelphia checking in at 64. just the slightest breeze out of the west/northwest at 5 to 10 miles per hour. these winds will pick up over the next 24, 48 hours. later this afternoon these are gusts 10 to 15 miles per hour.

we get into the evening hours we have gusts up to 20 or 25 miles per hour that continues right through tomorrow morning, and, again, the fact that the temperatures will be on the cool side with no humidity, this kind of a wind will make it feel chilly from time to time. the surface storm is up here, that's the feature that brought rain to the area yesterday. the upper level is between pittsburgh and buffalo. as that pulls away it will drag the upper level with it. it has to swing through parts of pittsburgh before it enters. we have a huge area of high pressure across the lower 48. once that storm exits the area, it's clear conditions and sunny skies and dry weather. future tracker #, -- future
