her around the bus shelter, he xrumed in and tried to stop the attack and was stabbed and later died. >> police caught up with hooker a short distance away and took him into custody. police can't believe the man they knew as cannibal is gone. >> really a good person. >> i fell over and was crying. he was a troubled teen but he was turning his life around. >> those that saw him on their daily travels, called him a hero. >> he was out here a lot skateboarding and stuff like that. stayed to himself and listened to music, it's a shock that he was killed. >> an authority time ago wilmington's mayor issued a statement offering his

condolences to cottingham's family, he too called him a hero risking his life to protect another citizen and hooker we are told did not know the young mother he went after with a knife. he is held without bail on a los angeles list of charges including first degree murder. >> u.s. sara. we told you last night how officials thwarted a plot against pope francis, he is a 15-year-old man from our area. and he was inspired by isis. nora muchanic has more tonight. >> reporter: we know that the 15-year-old boy was from new jersey and the attack was in the planning stages, authorities believe that it's another american teenager radicalized by isis through social media. the 15-year-old boy was quietly arrested last month for

threatening to attack pope francis on his trip to philadelphia, according to a bulletin from the fbi and homeland security, issued august 14th, the minor was inspired by isis and sought to complete an attack including firearms and multiple explosives. >> don't think a 15-year-old plotting to injure the pope is a normal 15-year-old. >> former police officer, dr. john crimel has been teaching for years and he doesn't think a 15-year-old understands the full consequences of their actions but the pope's visit would be a prime target for isis or their recruits. >> the 15-year-old arrested and charged with providing material support to a terrorist organization, used the internet to find information about explosives and share the information on social media.

authorities in the poconos have now arrested five fraternity brothers in connection with the hazing death of a pledge. a grand jury recommended charges for 37 members of pi delta si following the death of deng. he was blindfolded at a pledge event at a poconos rental home and forced to carry heavy bags of stand out into the snow while his frat brothers reportedly beat him, he lost consciousness and later died at the hospital. five people are dead and eight others are missing, the floodwaters swept them away and 16 people were inside of the cars and three children survived the others died or owe missing, the community is known as the home of a polygamist sect. parts of southern california

entire eastern half of the country. for tonight it's clear and cool and with the longer nights now and with the wind very light between 2 and 4 miles per hour, there is patchy fog developing tomorrow morning, 51 in the suburbs and 61 in center city, the high is right over head tomorrow and that will help the temperatures to go from 87 degrees the sunshine dominates and this is more typical of july or august temperatures, however we are not going have that summer time humidity thankfully and the high drifts to the east even more close to 10 degrees below normal, again it's technically summer and we are looking at true summer-like weather with it turning hot in the midwest with 90s, if you are lucky enough to be at the shore, sunny and nice and an afternoon sea breeze kicking in and the temperatures fall once again into the upper 70s, the
