new at 6:00 tonight, more than 20 years ago an organization called home front began the battle of homelessness inmerser county, they cut the ribbon on a brand new shelter in ewing, nora muchanic has the story. >> reporter: they have opened the door at home front's bran new campus in ewing turning this former marine building into a one stop center for families. >> families that are trying to claw their way out of poverty have all the resources and

support. >> you think shelter it's dirty and dark and terrible food, it's actually the complete opposite. homeless families will have access to not just a clean, safe place to sleep but child care services and ged services and job training. it includes this bran new kitchen where clients learn how to cook and prepare nutritious meals within their budget. >> we want to take the welfare moms and dads and take them off welfare forever and back into the job marquetkemarket. >> she stayed at the shelter for three months, now has a place of her own and finished her ged and is about to start trade school and looking for a job. >> i am here only 19, they taught me how to juggle my responsibilities and my hoog, it was paid for by over 1,000

we have breaking news tonight over the tacony palmyra bridge, a car fire shut down the bridge in broth directions, we don't know if anybody inside of that car was hurt, clearly it looks like the fire was substantial. it's on the new jersey side of the tacony palmyra and the bridge is closed in both directions. that is what we have for you from that location. lets go to ducis rogers and the latest on the eagles, it seems unlikely to say something like this, but second game of the season it's almost a must win game. >> you took the words out of my mouth but i'll go with it. the eagles cannot afford to fall 2-0 with the next two games on the road and nobody wants to lose to the dallas cowboys. >> a little cowboy week karma?

live radar not even a cloud in the sky, we'll skip past double scan and get to your highlights, the september warmth is going to continue into the rest of the week and into the weekend, however the only fly in the ointment is that the ozone increases a little bit tomorrow however we go above normal since monday, monday 77 degrees and the normal is 78 degrees this time of year and we jumped above that at 83 and today's official high temperature 87 degrees and 9 degrees above the norm. tomorrow abundant sunshine and a calm wind, we see an ozone issue and have an ozone action day in place for thursday, if you have respiratory issues you may want to limit your outdoor activities. 83 allentown and reading and wilmington 82 and 81 in millville and with the wind coming in off the water we cooled it down at the shore, 76

to normal, this is more typical of july and early august and the difference is lower sun angle, so the sun is not as brutal as it hits you and you don't have the extreme humidity, 87 for the next three days, low humidity thursday and friday, and a touch more humid on saturday and then a cold front arrives from the north and because it's coming from the north, no moisture with it, 81 for your high and the big game at the linc and eagles are back in town, against the cowboys, 80 for kickoff and fourth quarter 72 degrees, monday mostly cloudy an easterly wind develops and 76 degrees and limited sun on tuesday and wednesday and the easterly wind locks in the cloud cover and temperatures back closer to normal in the mid-70s, there are signs of fall in the seven day but as i mentioned, no signs of
