if you kick this and you somehow recover it, at least it gives you a chance at either a hail mary or a really long field goal. >> chris: cassidy hubbarth will be along in the studio. have reaction from this one. early in this quarter, clemson rolling. up 21. they thought -- we can think about heading home early on a rainy night. the irish made them play right down to the end. but just like the game we referenced a year ago in tallahassee, it looks like a notre dame perfect season is going to come to an end with a close call on the road in a tough environment against an acc team. >> kirk: absolutely. let's see how this onsides kick goes. >> chris: well, this is the freshman kicker, justin yoon. they practice this all the time, trying to get that perfect hop.

and it does not get the hop. and it's fielded by the tigers who are going to take a knee with a hard-earned two-point victory in death valley. they're 12th straight home win. that is a very relieved head coach. >> kirk: he's emotional right now. this is a big win for his program. think about this. in the last three years. this clemson program is now 36-7 with wins over lsu, auburn, georgia, ohio state, oklahoma and notre dame. he has taken this program to a whole different level and so, what you saw there was not just relief but just -- he is so darn

proud of his program and what they've built here. >> chris: forget the stats. clemson's outgained big time. notre dame mistakes crucial for second half turnovers but they played a ton of heart and resilience on the road. kizer, who helped lead that comeback, coming up one yard short on that two-point conversion carry. >> kirk: that's what you need to take away from this game. it's a huge win for clemson early in the year at home against a good notre dame football team. but notre dame, with kizer at quarterback, on the road in these conditions, down big, looking like they didn't have any chance at all, they had four turnovers, they're outgained by over 100 yards, how in the world is that football team going to have a chance to come back and have a shot at a two-point conversion, getting it into overtime, but they did it. give them credit. they can build on this. >> chris: the tigers have some tough folks ahead. georgia tech is up next here on

the boardwalk closing down roads and even pulling an entire home off the foundation and into the bay. the big story on "action news" is severe flooding at the jersey shore. beach towns took a pounding and wind and rain khurnd up surf and flooded roadways. we have team coverage tonight and we begin with meteorologist melissa magee at the big board with a check of the accuweather forecast. >> and walter all the weather we're tracking over the weekend is because of what we're seeing on storm strak tracker 6 double scan radar. we have a stalled frontal boundary strevrpd out across new england and across areas in the southeast and this area of low pressure just essentially parked itself over the georgias and carolinas and high pressure over canada. pressure gradient into between to the two systems causes the water to file on shore. that's what we've been for the coast much of today. a flood warning is issued across coastal sections of new

>>reporter: walter, at some time, drexel university students especially those off campus are breathing a lot easier. why? because an armed robbery suspect now in police custody and he's been terrorizing this community. >> and we're no longer showing the face of this serial robbery suspect because police discovered he's only 14 years old. he's been on a big boy crime spree. on streets at various hours near the campus 15 armed robberies police say in the drexel university area in 30 days. many of them violent. on september 30 police say he pistol whipped a student who resisted. >> 6:00 in the morning walking from home and male pulls up on bike, give me your purse. she resists initial limit he grabbed the furs and breaks the strap and punches her in the face and she sent chases him and catches up and pushes him off the bike. he beats her a few times with the gun. >> police released this of the suspect using a credit card he strong armed from a victim 40

14-year-old as an adult. no decision was made yet. in the meantime police continue to pursue his alleged cohorts. i'm vernon odom, "channel 6 action news" on the drexel university campus. a tragedy at swarthmore university today a student died after falling more than 40 feet down embankment before 3:00 this afternoon crumb woods a hiking area east of campus. investigators say the death was accidental and the student is identified as 18-year-old from bay side, new york. and a suspect has been arrested for the beating death of a 5 2-year-old woman inside a boarding home no philadelphia. the whole thing unfolded a bit before 3:30 this afternoon, 37 3700 block of north 18th stree street. the woman was discovered badly beaten and rushed to temple where pronounced dead a short time laterch the suspect who was not released the name yet knew the victim. >> police are investigating a deadly shooting in northwest
