also, beaches along the jersey shore are feeling effects of the recent raw, windy conditions. million-dollar clean up that will now get underway. but the big story on "action news" is a threat to college campuses in the philadelphia region. >> atf and fbi issued the warning. we're told the threat is the not specific accept for timing. local schools are taking proper precautions. "action news" reporter david henry is live at drexel university with much more, david? >> reporter: yeah, walter, all of the university and colleges in the delaware valley are stressing that this is a non-specific threat, but they are all taking it seriously enough to issue warnings, and, students are understandably, alarmed. >> all of the recent things that have been going on, it is like serious that could possibly happen on the campus, so i'm actually scared to leave my dorm tomorrow. >> reporter: college campuses are on edge as word spreads tonight they have been alerted by atf and fbi, all they know

is a an unspecific threat was made on social media to carry out violence at a university near philadelphia. but the time mentioned in the threat is very specific. 2:00 o'clock, tomorrow have afternoon. >> it is a kind of scary because, you know, the way it is, just given its history and the fact that we don't know which school and it is very specific time. >> reporter: student, faculty and staff and every university in the delaware valley have been notified through e-mail and text message alerts. notices from temple and drexel university are representative of what the schools are saying. they are monitoring the situation. promising stepped up police and security patrols, and they are asking students and staff to be extra a aware of anything that might seem suspicious. the the threat is especially disturbing in the wake of the shootings last week on a oregon community college campus. >> especially on everything that is happening already too. it is very unnerving. >> reporter: for the most part students say they will stick to their normal routines

we have not thought we would have to do it this soon. >> reporter: millions will come from the federal government work state and local taxpayers. at the 111th street beach the erosion was severe, people living nearby, including a few nuns from the villa maria retreat house came to check out the damage. >> we didn't have flooding here around the building this time like we had with sandy. the this was all washed out with sandy. but this time because of the the hurricane not hitting we were okay with that. >> reporter: in stone harbor trish hartman for channel six "action news". worst of the storm is over at the coast there are minor concerns along the delaware river. meteorologist melissa magee has details and first check of your accu weather forecast, melissa. >> we still that have coastal flood advisory for mainly philadelphia and wilmington. this will stay up until midnight because high tied cycle is occurring right now. we will take a couple hours for the waters to flow through the delaware river ape other tributaries but we have advisory for south jersey and delaware. that will stay up until 7:00 p.m. on monday because minor flooding is a concern at

walking sneakers. each participant walked 60 miles in willow grove on friday and in the navy yard this have afternoon. sunday weary walkers got boosts of encourage. from cheering stand along the the way, participant have their own reasons for joining the event, most are personal. >> my mom had breast cancer, and my aunt who passed away and that is why i walk. >> reason i walked today was for all of my moms, girlfriend, nieces, god children for every woman on the planet. >> i was supporting my husband because he had a friend who died of breast cancer but it was a male. a lot of people don't know that males can get breast cancer. it is very important to get the the message out. >> reporter: this weekend cross the city you could not miss walkers in their pink. they didn't even stop with rain and heavy wind. each year number of participants grows, and joanne started walking a decade ago but now she volunteers. the event raised $2.7 million

some type of altercation ended with a shooting that killed two men in the strawberry mansion section of philadelphia. officers were called to the 2400 block of north 29th street around 2:00 this morning. they found one person shot to death in the hallway of the building. a second victim was found outside around the corner. they are working to figure out what sparked the violence. a hungry bandit started an elderly woman last night in philadelphia's fairmount neighborhood. police say the suspect barged in the front door of the house in the 800 block of north taney streets and grabbed a pizza and soda out of the refrigerator. the 87 year-old victim was able to pull the stranger out of her own home without hurting herself. the the thief held on to the dinner and ran a a away from
