67:00 a.m., sunday october 18. new this morning, government officials investigate a suspicious fire that burned three trailer homes and left nearly a dozen people homeless. two people are hurt after a car loses control on i-95 in delaware overnight. plus people are waking up to cold temperatures this morning. chris sowers has the latest. it is cold out there. >> reporter: the cold is yet to come. let's get you outside and show you what's going on. it's one of the coldest mornings so far this season.

as you look toward the center city skyline it's nice and clear and calm. we had a breeze yesterday, but the winds will pick up later on today. frost advisory remains in effect for the area highlighted in purple. we have a freeze warning in effect for everybody except the i-95 corridor. we have a freeze warning overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning where we are expecting a hard freeze where temperatures drop into the mid to upper 20s across the far western suburbs and the pine barrens of south jersey and millville and vineland. 30 in millville. transport, 35. 25 degrees -- trenton, 35. 25 for the poconos. just like yesterday we'll start out with sunshine. during the course of the day we'll see the puffy cumulus clouds building. mostly sunny during the morning.

radar at your finger tips. one shot and four others wounded at a convention in for the myers, florida at the annual festival known as zombie con. 20,000 fans dress as zombies. the downtown for the purpose of the myers area was cordoned off after the shooting. nine people are homeless after a fire officials are calling this a suspicious fire. you can see the flames from inside one of the trailers that burned in stanton. it took a half-hour to bring the blaze under control. one trailer was destroyed and two others damaged on indiana avenue. it appears the fire started

outside one of the trailers. there were no injuries reported in the fire. in the delaware newsroom two peopler recovering after a crash on interstate i-95. it happened at 3:30 near i-95 southbound near 273 in newark. the driver lost control and ran off the road crashing into the guardrail. the front end of the car suffered extensive damage. the couple inside the car were taken to christiana hospital for treatment. a homeless family is fighting to get their young son back. he was found wandering around love park in the cold. jeff chirico has the story. >> reporter: you can see their makeshift home under the welcome center the pieces of cardboard to shield the family from the wind. the family had no idea the little boy wandered away until they woke up hours later. >> if i had i would be there, i am out here on the streets with

my kids, not on purpose. that's my son. she said her 2-year-old boy was found wandering in the park alone overnight. this photo was shown on social media. michael jones who said he is jeremiah's father shows us where his family slept behind cardboard walls under the welcome center. >> he walked out, walked all the way i ran over to dhs. i said my son is missing. >> reporter: the couple said they ended up here after having trouble finding room in a shelter. now jeremiah and his 4-year-old sister are in protective custody. >> i don't come what kind of work i debt get, if anybody out there have work for me call me.

>> anybody who know me and my husband know we are very good to our kids. >> reporter: the little boy was taken to the hospital and is doing fine. no charges will be filed. jeff chirico channel 6 "action news." >> scary moments in a walmart parking lot in wilks-berre, a man in broad daylight started shooting. police are trying to determine if a domestic dispute started the whole thing. investigators say 31-year-old man was apparently with a woman when he fired a rifle in the store's parking lot hitting several vehicles. >> i heard gunfire, i came down and people were hiding behind their vehicles. >> when officers arrived sergeant started shooting at them, police returned fire hitting him. he will be charged with attempted homicide on a law enforcement officer. nobody else was injured. more than two dozen people

need homes after fire destroyed several apartments in camden county this weekend. "action news" was on the scene scene of the 200 block of west avenue in pine hill. it took firefighters an hour to bring the two-alarm blaze under control. everyone inside made it out safely, but three units were damaged or destroyed. the cause is under investigation. a fire in pleasantville, atlantic county claimed the lives of two women this weekend. we told you about this story on "action news" yesterday morning. as trish hartman complains the women were living in the home without electricity for years. family members and loved one embraced outside the charred home in pleasantville. fire officials say two lives were lost in the blaze that started around 11:00 p.m. friday. >> i smelled it, i checked my house, first. i looked, the brightness was

pouring out of the window. >> reporter: neighbor said i called 911 and grabbed a garden hose. it took firefighters an hour to control the flames. neighbors say a husband and wife lived here and orderly woman was staying with of them tell tell us it was the two women who died. the officials are investigating the cause, family members say they have been living without electricity and often lit candles and believe that's what sparked the blaze. rosemary walker lives next to the home. >> i opened the door, the cop was saying you got to get out. >> reporter: she said her young grandchildren were shaken up from the ordeal and her siding was melted. she had spoken to the women that day. >> they say hi. >> reporter: officials have not released the names of the

california. a rally was held this weekend for a mother who was murdered in front of her 2-year-old daughter. a crowd gathered in philadelphia at port richmond's neighborhood holding signs and pictures of 22-year-old who was killed july 30th inside her home on aramingo avenue. police think this man caught on surveillance video may be the killer. so far no arrests have been made. teenager from northeast philadelphia remains in constant pain after being shot five months ago. now her mother is making a passionate plea torched the person who opened fire on her daughter. here's rick williams with this crime fighters report. >> i want to bed at 11:30. i received a call that my daughter was shot and they were rushing her to the hospital. >> reporter: mildred recalls the
