passed away, pinky kravatz passed away yesterday. he served's the host of -- servinged as host of pinky's corner for 59 years. funeral services will be held for a former new jersey mayor whose body was found on a beach. the former clayton mayor was found dead on the beach in strathmere on tuesday, reports say he drowned. other details have not been released. he served as mayor from 2009 to 2012. open enrollment for the healthcare known as the affordable care act. health plan premiums are expected to rise sharply for next year. open enrollment runs through the end of january. if you need help there's free

a line of heavy thunderstorms has reached 6. two straight days of high wind and heavy rains spawned three tornados and flooding. at least four people died on friday and two bodies were found yesterday. two of the deaths were in houston where officials say a tornado damaged an apartment building in the northwestern part of the city. the storm shifted from central texas to the houston area yesterday. by noon houston firefighters made more than 130 water rescues. the emergency line received 44 reports of flooded buildings. the storm knocked out power to

harrisburg and pittsburgh pacific in origin, very mild air. once this crosses. the temperatures will will not e dropping they will be increasing. it's a typical forecast you would see in september as opposed to november. 68 degrees that is the high temperature. the low this morning 55, 1 degrees above the seasonal average of 43. everybody in the upper 50s, the exception being the far western suburbs. 55 in reading, allentown, trenton, 57. millville, 59. 60s across the shorepoints anywhere from 9 to 13, 14, 15 degrees warmer than this time yesterday. you can see the milder air is pushing in. steady moisture is pushing to the north and the south. we're split in between the two. the northern system has the pacific air that will dominate

the flow aloft over the next several days. down at the bottom of the screen, that system will hang out for the next couple of days, the forecast models take it off the virginia capes and the carolinas over the next 36 hours. it's not going to get as far north as the delaware valley. there are a couple of models that suggest dover, delaware will see brief passing showers, maybe southern cape may county. everybody's will be dry tomorrow. today will be dry after a brief shower. a mild flow, the two systems splitting the area in half. this southern storm races out to sea. it's milder southwesterly breezes the rest of the week. really, really nice. skies will brighten up after lunchtime we get into the mid 60s. depending on how much sun you see determines how warm it will get. we'll go 68 degrees in philadelphia.

and flames -- smoke and flames were too much. >> when i sandy brooker was rd from her apartment saturday night, another woman was not so lucky, she was killed in the buildings after her fiance attempted to rescue her. a third alarm was struck before midnight. 18 apartments were destroyed and 30 people were displaced and held by the red cross. it's a non-sprinkler wood framed structure, so without the sprinklers it moves quick. >> reporter: because we turned back the clocks this weekend check the batteries in your smoke alarms as well. trish hartman channel 6 "action

news." >> thank you. and this is just into "action news" this morning, as well, police in atlantic city are investigating the discovery of a body found at a hotel. police were called to the boardwalk and new york avenue at 7:00 a.m., no word on a possible cause of death. from our delaware newsroom, a woman is rushed to the hospital after losing control of her car. it happened on 202 in fairfax, at 1:00 a.m. state police say the woman lost control and ran off the road and hit a guardrail at 1:00 a.m. this morning she was taken to chris i can't -- christiana hosl with non-life threatening injuries. police are looking for a gunman who shot and killed a man on the front porch of his own home on kramer street. a man in his 30s was shot in the leg as he sat on the front porch. he ran inside the home and collapsed. he was rushed to cooper medical

center where he died. police have no suspects or motives for the shooting. philadelphia police are looking for a driver who hit a pedestrian and took off on foot in a halloween costume. the man was hit on pattison avenue near broad street in south philadelphia at 8:30. he was rushed to jefferson hospital with injuries to his faith. police say the driver of the truck who was dressed in a superman costume ran away. pinky kravats died yesterday at the age of 88. he hosted pinky's corner on wond1400 for 59 seize. funeral services will be held for a former new jersey mayor found on the beach. jeffrey radio was found on the beach in strathmere on tuesday.
