what appears to be, sewing needles inside of halloween candy in chester county. >> last night police in kenneth square received several reports of parents and children, finding those needles the. tonight, parents are urged to check that candy a as police try to track down person or people responsible. the "action news" reporter annie mccormack is live in kenneth square with the full detail and story. annie? >> reporter: walter, and sarah a police do not want parents to panic, they just want them to check their children's kind. we caught up with one who found sewing needles in his candy. he was there but went to his family and they immediately contacted the police. >> needles inside, twix and some people found them inside some snickers. >> reporter: miguel reported to kenneth square police they found needles in their halloween candy. miguel, at the station with his parents and siblings sunday a afternoon. >> unaudible.

>> my mom sent an e-mail to friend. >> reporter: they notified other friend and kenneth square police posted reports on the facebook page and alerted the community. >> these reports can turnout to be anywhere. the right now it is an active police investigation. we're interviewing people that have have reported the incident, we're trying to figure out where they were trick or treating at and we're trying to get more information from them. >> reporter: miguel was first group of children to report to police, midnight sunday and that case four children trick or treating together reported finding sewing needles in five snack sized twix bars. second report came in sunday afternoon a child separate from the original complaint broad in a snickers bar with the sewing needle. all children went door to door in a standing hills neighborhood bordering south union street and west south street and they all ranged in age from seven to 12. police acknowledge often that the urban legend this time of the year proves false, they want anyone though with information to come forward. >> remember, that the the parents just be vigilant

after getting into an altercation with two other men. victim was treated at presbyterian hospital, no arrests have been made. woman was killed in a three alarm fire that tore through an apartment building, in plymouth meeting late last night. dozens of residents are now out of their homes as fire officials looked for the cause. fire fighters rescued her from her balcony. >> they put a ladder up, and they climbed up, and helped me get on a chair and crimed down the ladder. i had nothing but my pant, my shirt and no socks or shoes. >> reporter: authorities say 18 apartments were destroyed and 30 people displays i had. red cross helped many of them and red paw relief team sheltered several dogs and cats. a number of neighbors told us they were celebrating halloween when the blaze broke out. on people tell us they did whatever they could to help as residents tried to escape the flames. >> they were running out, and we got our jacket and made sure that she was okay. >> reporter: according to the fire chief the building had working smoke alarms but no sprinkler system. he says that the closest fire hydrant didn't work. >> we did have a hydrant right out front, that evidently got hit with a vehicle or something, so that had, was out of commission totally. >> reporter: authorities are still investigating a cause.

people from a neighborhood in wilmington woke up to a real mess this morning in the streets in front of their homes. the tires of more than a dozen vehicles were slashed. it happened in the early morning hours, along the 1900 block of ceneca road in wilmington. neighbors say it was not just one tire, some had two or three flattened. search is on for person who did this. an update to a story "action news" first brought you on friday, saint a a hman family was given a new bike courtesy of an "action news" viewer this was a bike someone stole earlier this week. they used to it take his 18
