the scene tonight. what's the scene. >> reporter: radnor police have been on the scene since about two there. all right this afternoon and take a look at what they found inside of this house. this is just one of the rounds of ammunition that they've found inside of that home. i mean, how did you guys come across all of this? >> when we went to check the well-being of who was inside the house, if anyone, we found this in the house. >> reporter: and there's several on the rounds of ammunition and other chemicals what you guys were saying were discovered. >> yup. that's that's correct. >> reporter: that's one of the reasons why this neighborhood has been for the most part blocked off. >> the street, yeah until we figure out what everything is. >> reporter: okay. this started off as a maintenance check here in wayne, delaware county. police are focusing their efforts on one of the homes in this cul-de-sac. when they entered the home not own did police discover prep moral conditions inside the residence but also munitions on the property that hazmat crews are combing through piece by piece. that has forced emergency

crews to close the cul-de-sac off and neighboring streets. they've deemed that home to not be occupied. they say that the homeowner is a firearms broker. he is on scene and right now they are questioning him. reporting live in wayne, delaware county, christie auletto channel6 "action news." >> christie, thank you. let's go to the late of the now on the investigation into the crash between a septa bus and a flatbed truck. it happened in the 7900 block of oxford avenue in the fox chase section of philadelphia. the flatbed truck was hauling a huge front end loader when it collided with a bus. three people were sent to the hospital. "action news" reporter sarah bloomquist is live at that scene. sarsarah. >> reporter: this is viewer video in the moments after a septa bus and a truck falling a front end loader collided in the 7900 block of oxford avenue.

chris berg goes was one of the witness who rushed to help the passengers. >> jumped in the front window because the front window of the bus was busted out. >> reporter: right. >> to see if everybody was all rightism the truck driver with the load had been heading up oxford toward rhawn escorted by an officer on a motorcycle. the bus driver was coming out of the fox chase bus loop making a right onto oxford. police believe the bus driver watched the officer pass but didn't see the truck behind it and pulled into its path. >> it's crazy. you know, it's crazy. i don't understand how a driver like that can miss that giant thing with a police escort. doesn't make any sense. >> reporter: on that viewer video you can see an officer climbing on board the bus to assist. nora mccloskey saw all this and the moments after the truck came to rest against her studio. >> i was in the center and it was at the corner so i was just immediately glad that i was alive but then i heard a woman screaming and then i -- that was startling. >> reporter: two of the

three passengers on board and the driver went to the hospital with minor injuries. neighbors said they've complained that septa's long accordion buses can't negotiate the loop. they expected one day there would be a crash but not like this. >> it's just a mess and nothing has been done about it. >> reporter: as we look back live, they towed away the bus. it took some time to get the truck out of here. there are still concerns about the structural integrity of the two buildings it crashed into and you can see firefighters are still here on the scene. they're thinking about shoring up those buildings just to be safe. it's unclear when they'll be able to move weigh the huge front end loader that that truck was recallin hauling away. in a statement released within the hour septa has said it has been working with the community to improve the safety around this bus loop and will continue to do so. live in fox chase, i'm sarah bloomquist, channel6 "action news." >> thank you, sarah. the search continues tonight for a gunman who

spearheaded an attempted robbery over the weekend. this is the way it looked saturday night in reading as three bandits hit a convenience store but the bandits didn't counter on what happened next. "action news" reporter john rawlins has that story. >> reporter: it was about 11:00 p.m. halloween when three robbers burst into latino's meat market led by a masked gunman. >> he came in with guns blazing inch the fast paved violent robbery captured on video shows the gunman jumping over the counter. but the bad guys met resistance. authorities say the two legally armed store owners brothers fired back killing two of the three. d.a. john adams said their use of deadly force was self-defense. >> the use of force in this situation was legal and justified. >> reporter: the dead men 21-year-old raul neves hernandez had an active warrant and 45-year-old salis koe was on parole. the gunman after robbing the register managed to get away. >> we are looking for that

third male and we would ask the public for whatever help they can provide us. we need to identify that third male. >> reporter: bullet holes pockmark the little store. the owner declined to appear on camera saying death threats had been made. choosing his words carefully red ago's police chief said what occurred saturday night was the right result. >> i can't advise citizens all the time to use such force. if it goes wrong there are really dire consequences but in this case it worked out. >> reporter: there is a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the third man. once found, the d.a. says he would be charged any other only with robbery but second degree murder for triggering the violent confrontation that led to the deadly shooting. in reading, john rawlins, channel6 "action news." >> thank you, john. we have an update on the investigation into a toddler's death in haddon township new

jersey. a toxicology report on three-year-old brendan creato has come back negative. that means there were no foreign substances in his system. that's according to the attorney representing the child's father. brendan was found last month in the woods about a half mile from his father's home. david dj creato has been questioned by police but his attorney says they're still waiting to get more information. >> we don't even have that information from the investigators yet that someone had something to do with this boy's death. we have no answers about what happened to this boy and after today we have one answer that just really leads to more questions. >> the autopsy report is still pending and the prosecutor's office will not comment on the toxicology report. the philadelphia school district will take out a loan now of a quarter of a billion dollars to keep classes running through the end of 2015. today the school reform commission approved the borrowing of $250 million. philadelphia is among dozens

of districts in the state seeking loans to make ends meet in the absence of a state budget. superintendent william hite says without money coming from the state they're forced to borrow from the banks with interest. >> ♪ tomorrow is election day in pennsylvania and new jersey and in philadelphia voters will head to the polls to decide who will be the next mayor. both mayoral candidates spent today reaching out to voters. democrat jim kenney had lunch with immigrant restaurant owners in south philadelphia. and we caught up with republican melissa murray bailey in mayfair rallying her team to get out the vote. polls in pennsylvania open at 7:00 a.m. new jersey voters can get an earlier start at 6:00 a.m. the polls close in both states at 8:00 p.m. and of course "action news" will have complete coverage of all the biggest races tomorrow. just stay with 6abc.com for realtime results as the votes

despite a lot of cloud cover. but the clouds have been clearing out and i got this photo he tweeted to me from alex of the sunset in wilmington, delaware and, yes, the sunset at 4:58 eastern standard time. and this is a live look on sky6. i know, this is only depressing thing about this forecast is that it is now very dark, kind of a sign of the times but temperature-wise we're going to be turning back the clock as we head through the work week. right now temperatures still pretty mild. 61 degrees in philadelphia, our high 65. that's 4 degrees above average. allentown 54, trenton 59, wilmington 54, sea isle city 56 and wilmington currently 58 degrees. so, for tonight the clouds will be clearing out. a light breeze and temperatures really not dropping very low for this time of the year. 40 degrees in allentown, 44 in trenton, 48 in philadelphia, cape may 49 and wilmington 44. satellite6 along with action radar showing this high pressure will be our weather

maker for the next several days. as high pressure -- this high pressure has been keeping the rain do you think to th down to. it's really the opposite in california and this is great news for the state. 97 percent of california is in a drought but they have been get something pretty heavy rain and if you look here you see the light and that blue, that is snow finally for the sierra nevadas. one to 2 feet expected at the peak then really adds to the snow pack which will help the drought situation and this pattern will persist for the next few days. what we have is a big dip in the jet stream out to the west. cool and unsettled. to the east we have this buildinbuilding ridge and that s temps in the 70's, 10 to 15 degrees above average. the record high on friday 79 degrees, set back in the 19 40's and i think we'll be within a few degrees of that.

tomorrow lots of sunshine. grab the sunglasses but leave the jackets at home for the afternoon. it's going to be very mild. at 7 o'clock 51 degrees, by 10 o'clock, 62. 1 o'clock, 69 and by 4 o'clock, temperature in the 70's. 71 degrees. this is a nice looking forecast if you like things warm. so, the exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, tomorrow it's election day. wall to wall sunshine and temperatures unseasonably warm. up to a high of 72 degrees. jim, if you like it warmer than that, i think you'll like wednesday, though. plenty of sunshine with a high up to 74 degrees. on thursday, we do have some cloud cover. future tracker showing that the clouds will be building through the day. at 1 o'clock, especially north of philadelphia, though it appears there could be a few showers. i think most of the showers will miss us to the north. could get a sprinkle or two but even with the cloud cover on thursday, the afternoon high still 74 degrees. on friday, things begin to change. we get wind, even stronger out of the southwest ahead of a cold front.
