>> it's really very sick, it's horrible what's happening in paris. >> paris is in mourning and still in shock after terrorists carried out attacks on several sites. a stadium, concert hall, car face and bars. at least 120 people were killed in the attacks. good morning, 7:00 a.m. saturday november 14. the big story on "action news" is the latest on the deadly attacks in paris. isis has claimed responsibility for the attacks. terrorists charged crowded venues where people enjoyed a night out. a stadium filled with soccer fans and concert which featured a california band, that hall was the site of the largest number of casualties.

1500 soldiers have been put around sights in paris. the vatican is calling it an attack on humanity. isis has claimed responsibility and isis coordinated the attack outside with accomplices in france. new this morning, the french president said isis is behind the attacks that rocked paris at 6 different locations. the worst carnage at this concert hall where an american rock band eagles of death mental was performing when -- death metal was performing filled with hundreds of concert goers. >> there was nothing in the eyes, just anger. >> i saw a couple of people wounded and another guy with his shirt drenched in blood. >> reporter: many held captive

philadelphia. flights are going into paris today. overnight we checked with one marriage carrier, air france tweeted the flights into paris are operating normally. this is brand new video boathouse row lit up overnight in red white and blue, those are the colors of the fremple -- french and the american flags, many in our area waited anxiously for word on whether loved ones in paris are okay. chad perdelli caught up with french citizens who live and work in philadelphia. >> reporter: inside a center city nonprofit to promote french culture students are keeping an eye on television watching the coverage of the attacks in paris. they put us on the phone with a preschool teacher in center city living a few miles from the attacks. >> we've been hearing the

police, i can larry them now. i don't know if you -- i can hear them now. >> reporter: she said terror attacks are always on the minds of the french people. >> we talk about it, it's something that's a lot of movement outside. >> reporter: in philadelphia, the consulate said 5,000 french nationals live there's outrage over the widespread massacre that's gripped france. >> it's awful and i'm angry and tired of the crime against humanity. >> i'm shocked, we're just learned a few minutes ago, so it's hard to feel exactly what we should, i don't know, it's so unreal. >> reporter: for the teacher the scary part is the types of attacks are becoming the norm, not the exception, but after living in france for 18 years she said the french people are

resilient. >> i don't think it will change anything, you know there's no sense in living with any kind of fear like i said it's always kind of there in the back of your mind. >> reporter: unfortunately for the teacher none -- fortunately for the teacher none of her loved ones or friends were among those injured. >> the u.s. state department is urging americans in paris to shelter in place. terrorism expert ed turzanski said it's been a long time since the borders were closed. >> that has not happened since the second world war. paris has not had curfew on the entire city since the second world war and the borders of france are closed tonight. >> ed turzanski said paris was

knowing he couldn't urinate and had fallen down. she put him on the couch and went to bed. the next day he died. she has been charge with manslaughter. tom wolf said a proposed 21% increase in sales tax will hit the poor harder. he spoke to the student council conference in harrisburg saying the deal is a boost for public schools. atlantic city casinos won an lost, gaming enforcement showed they took in $28.5 million in october that's a few million less than last october. but the internet gambling revenue jumped 30% when you compare this october to last october. >> keeping that youthful glow, more and more seniors are going under the knife to stay young.

group of carrying out attack also. he said the carnage was planned abroad. he said he was at the soccer stadium that came under siege. a concert was one of the five targets. germany said it arrested a man who is tied to the attacks. president obama hollande met with french cabinet leaders in the hours following the attack. he declared a state of emergency in france and closed its borders. there has been international contempt nation of the attacks with every world leader offering help to france. elizabeth hur joins us live with the latest on the attacks. eva good morning to you, the french president declared three days of national mourning saying that france will defeat isis calling the attacks an act of war. this morning the french president said isis is behind the attacks that killed at least

simultaneous attacks the west has ever seen. >> he went on to say paris has not gone into lockdown since the second world war. americans in paris has been told to shelter in place. this is american airlines flight 754 the flight to paris last night and it did take off. it was delayed a few hours, despite the borders being closed airlines are serving flights to paris. dann cuellar talked to passengers who decided to not get on the flight after hearing about the terror attacks. >> we were waiting around normal things happened we got on the plane everybody was getting situated and we were told to get off the plane. >> reporter: before takeoff came word the french government shut down its borders declaring a state of emergency. the airline did not canceling the flight, but pushed it back

which is five degrees below the seasonal average. now we're up to 46. allentown, 44. poconos, 34 degrees ten cooler up there. trenton, 45, millville, 46. we're dealing with the bluster breeze out of the west/northwest at 10 miles per hour. these sustained wind speeds. lancaster is leading the pack at 20 miles per hour. every now and then you get a good gust at 25 to 30 miles per hour. that will be the trend here all day long. on a positive note it won't be windy as yesterday. these are the peak windy guss it's like a hurricane out there, i was heading to the car, the leashes were whipping around things blowing all over the place. allentown, 47, reading, 41. wilmington, 35, millville, 35 miles per hour. the winds were so strong coming off the lakes we had lake-effect

snowshowers develop during the overnight hours. it shows you how cold the air mass was as it pushed over the lakes. now the snow is up to the north following the low as the exits stage right and pushes into canada the canadian provinces dealing with that. the lower 48, the only system we're watching is this the lonestar state in the southeast. there's a system pushing into the packed northwest that will bring snow to colorado rockies and whyoming those folks will get winter white. everybody else is doing already. it's a nice, quiet weather pattern that we're getting ready to settle in across the country. it's going to be windy today, high pressure that will be the dominant feature over the next four days, you'll see a ton of sunshine because of it, milder conditions. tuesday, wednesday, high temperatures get into the mid to upper 60s. if we get a decent amount of sunshine, the cold air mass holds off longer, maybe some areas touch 70.

traffic problem, baltimore pike is closed between the blue route and walling ton road in springfield because of a car accident that will last until noon. fire destroyed a home in gloucester county an "action news" viewer sent in video of the flames shooting through the roof. firefighters were called to the 200 block of forest lane after 1:00 a.m. nobody was inside the home they are looking to what sparkedment blaze. blaze -- sparked that blaze. a student in cheltenham school district has been diagnosed with bacterial meningitis. they put out a statement saying -- we have an important recall
