"action news" was there as firefighters pulled the woman out of the buildings here in new castle. it happened at the aldon park dwormt at 4:30 -- development at 4:30 a.m. the woman was rushed to christiana hospital in critical condition suffering from smoke inhalation. the fire marshalls office is investigating what caused the blaze. philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that left more than two dozen gun

shell casings and a man fighting for his life. it began with an argument in the city's tioga nicetown section. it ended when someone opened fire on a 28-year-old man when he was in his car on 17th and erie avenue. he drove on 17th for a block until he crashed into a parked car. he was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. police found 30 shell casings at the scene. police are investigating a shooting in north philadelphia that left a man hospitalized in critical condition. it happened on swain street at 3:00 a.m. police tell "action news" a 25-year-old man was shot several times. two men have been taken into custody for questioning in connection with the shooting. >> a driver is hospitalized after a nasty crash in lower makefield township. it happened on big oak road near ferry road. police say the driver lost control and hit several trees. he was trapped inside the wreckage. it took firefighters 20 minutes to free the man.

he was rushed to saint st. marys medical center for treatment. no word if charges will be filed. three homes were damaged by fire it happened on the unit block of victory avenue in upper darby, delaware county. firefighters found flames shooting from the first floor of the home, it took firefighters an hour to bring the blaze under control. nobody was hurt, investigators are working figure out what started that blaze. >> a holiday tradition to help families in need continues across the delaware valley. boy scout troops expand out across the area and handed out bags for the annual food drive. the action cam caught up with the scouts in delaware county. families are asked to fill the bags with nonperishable food items. it's a project 6abc has proudly supported for 30 years. join us here on 6abc next wednesday november 18 for our live telethon to benefit

issues to talk about in the foreseeable future. that changes wednesday into thursday, but right now everything looks good. 60 degrees we started at 37. close to the seasonal averages. lancaster, 40 degrees, poconos 36. millville, 47 sea isle city and cape may, coming in at 51 degrees, 40 is what it feels like in philadelphia when you factor in the breeze. 40 in allentown, 28 that's the windchill in the poconos. 38 in trenton, 43 in millville. 42 in dover. if you're going to be doing tailgating you'll need a heavier coat until the temperatures get into the 50s and 60s which will do around 11:00 a.m. the weather is nice and quiet along the eastern seaboard. that changes the farther west
