pockets of yellow on most of our roadways in the heart of the delaware valley with steady rain and with leaves on the roads, it can clog the drains. anywhere from the blue route to 202 and 422 and the new jersey turnpike, these bands of rain are working northwest to the southeast. it won't be for a few hours before we can shut the faucet off. as we look at the water vapor that is 10,000 feet in the atmosphere, where you see the green all of that moist sewer coming in from the atlantic and feeding in with humid air and just to the west we have a cold front and can you see how quick the atmosphere drys out as we get into the middle part of the evening hours. 72 in raleigh and you look to the west you see the west the temperatures drop from the 50s to 40s into the 30s, so post

post office robbery in philadelphia, they say this is not the first time someone has hit the same office this year. eva pilgram, she is live at the scene on caster avenue with the details. >> reporter: well sharrie, this most office here on caster avenue was hit by a gunman looking for money for the second time in three months and once again authorities are asking for your help to solve this crime. this post office on the 6300 block was closed unexpectedly today. >> come in and rob a post office how much money could you possibly get, you know you'll get caught, it's a federal crime. that shows how desperate people are around here. a masked gunman in a green hoody and black pants came into the post demanding money. >> the most they will get is money, maybe money orders or stamps. robbing it comes with a

jared fogle the disgraced former head of subway is headed to a federal prison. a judge sentencing him to 8 years behind bar, he plead guilty to child pornography and

crossing state lines to have sex with underage prostitutes. he had pornography produced by his agency's former director. the judge today saying that fogle was fortunate to land his lucrative deal with subway after losing weight in college and that she was disappointed in him. the 38-year-old father of two saying quote, i so regret i let so many of you down, i want to redeem my life and become a good, decent person and i want to rebuild my life. on top of his sentence, fogle was ordered to pay a $175,000 fine. >> quite the turn around for him. alicia thank you. workers at philadelphia international airport hit the picket lines today to demand better pay and health care, the action cam was there as service employees braved the rain to make their demands and they were

11:00 and right now we are socked in with that steady and in fact pockets of heavy rain especially in and around center city and the heart of the delaware valley, the bright colors of the yellows working from the south to the north at the schuylkill expressway and the conshohocken curve and lancaster avenue being inundated with moderate rainfall and that is montgomery county and heading towards buck county and even to the south we see the pipeline of moisture. getting a little bit of a break in wilmington and on either side of the city, to the north and west in new jersey, having some of those yellow pockets popping up with brief areas of moderate to heavy rainfall. a very slow go out there this evening. as we take a look at the rainfall totals so far, it's not too impressive thus far but we bump these numbers up with rain developing, a quarter inch in philadelphia so far, just shy of

a half inch in allentown and pretty much the same in trenton and atlantic city .15 of an inch. from the southeast it's bringing in warm air. 67 in dover and trenton and wilmington 63 presently. and you see the pocket of rain developing to the north and notice how quickly the atmosphere drys to the west of washington and baltimore, the clouds quickly fall apart once the rain stops. there is a very sharp cold front here and the southerly winds and the dew points now in the mid-atlantic to upper 50s to mid-60s, it's slightly humid adding to the rain and behind the front the dew points slam down into the 30s and 40s and that is an indication that we will dry the atmosphere out quickly. the rain is shutting off and heavy at times east of center

city and we speed up to 11:00 and the rain exits the coast and we clear the atmosphere out in philadelphia and trenton and by tomorrow's rush hour at 7:30, sunshine is here to greet us all at the end of the week and it remains the dominant feature tomorrow, however even with the full sun we'll have a strong northwesterly wind, high temperatures in the mid-50s, which is seasonable for this time of year, specifically 53 inal ep town, dover and cape may 54 and 55, the four day at 4:00 forecast, sunny and breezy and 55 degrees, seasonable here on your saturday with a few high clouds and a little less wind at 54 and the wind really cranks up again on sunday as we have another front sweep through, 50 for a high temperature with windchills much of the day in the 40s on sunday and then the coldest day so far, this fall season on monday, sun and clouds

a restaurant in overbrook park is reopen after fire damaged the building, the flames started at 11:30 at applebees on

commute now being socked in from vineland to the north and less intense with the rain to dover and cape may and atlantic city, and vineland, as we close in around center city philadelphia, and the schuylkill expressway it's all in yellow at this point, with the steady moderate rainfall and pockets of moderate rain and chester county and lancaster county and berks county, we lift to the north this is moving to the northwest and southeast, and mercy county, just to the west of trenton and yardley seeing heavy rainfall at the present time, and this continues to race off to the north and east, so much of southern bucks county getting hit by some of this hefty rain, 63 warm degrees now in philadelphia, the same for trenton and allentown and pretty uniform numbers it's on the muggy side with dew points running into the low 60s in much of the area and that is helping to enhance some of the rain, the
