the norristown community house is back open after part of it was stride by fire. crews are working to fix the at that timic, the pool and ballroom and garden room have all reopened thanks to help from the community. the community house has such deep roots in the communities and everyone is in such great support at the community house, and a lot of people pulled together to make it happen. >> the house's executive director says some of the house had to be moved but the annual tree lighting next month.

hello again, here is what is happening on "action news" tonight. protesters continue to flood chicago streets in the wake of the release of police video showing the killing of a teen and many are asking why it took some long? and do you recognize the man in the coat highlighted there, philadelphia police believe he may have been abducted while visiting a bank and a lifelong friendship forged over garbage of all things. this little boy bonded with his trash collector. and now disturbing dash-cam video showing the killing of a chicago teenager at the hands of a police officer, activists and protesters took to the streets demanding answers, it took more than a year to release the tape showing the killing of laquan mcdonald. >> reporter: a call for answers and accountability.

>> not only shocking and sad but infuriating. >> this from community leaders and activists, reacting to this dash-cam video, the video captured the moment that chicago police officer jason vandyke opened fire on laquan mcdonald, we froze the video here but after mcdonald collapsed vandyke kept shooting, 16 bullets in 15 seconds. >> it's unfathomable and unacceptable, it would take a year when all the facts in this case was known the night it happened. >> the shooting occurs more than a year ago, and it began with police responding to a report of a support with a knife breaking into cars and this shows another officer kicking a knife away from mcdonald's body. >> at the end of the day i would rather take my time and get it

right than rush to judgment and get it wrong. >> calling the investigation complex on tuesday prosecutors announced murder charges against vandyke, the same day the court order led to the release of the video. >> but some upset protesters are demanding the city's top cop to resign. >> meantime, vandyke's attorney says this is not a murder case, saying the officer opened fire fearing for his life. the first of six baltimore police officers will go on trial this monday in the death of freddie gray back in april, gray died from a severed spine while in police custody, his death sparked outrage and violence protests throughout the baltimore area, now each of the six officers involved will be tried separately. officer william porter will be the first one. >> now to the latest on the on

live in the traffic center with an update tonight. >> i can't blame it on cecily but in spots this traffic is a little bit of a turkey. like this spot. this is delaware county, 95 northbound by 452 an accident scene knocking out the left lane, police and penndot are on the scene and traffic is jammed coming away from naaman's road and normal on the betsy ross bridge and speeds in the 30s on the schuylkill expressway and restrictions around eakins oval because of parade preps, including the closure of jfk boulevard and those don't end until tomorrow afternoon. a crash eastbound on 476 and speeds in the 20s coming east of valley forge. and we have three accidents this afternoon on 295 southbound all

we have a happy update to a story that "action news" brought you earlier this week about a trio of unlikely furry friends that formed a bond of the the animal league of berks county says that the pot belly pig and her best friends, did get adopted. someone left them back in september all together and the shelter is trying to adopt them out as a three some ever since and they were inundated with applications and they made a decision today. triple p will head to their new home in york county on friday. good for them. a good story.

middle 50s today with a lot of that sunshine. so as we take a look at the satellite and radar, the eastern half of the country, it's quiet at the present time and you are starting to see clouds building and omaha and wichita as storms build and bring a front our way as we get into the weekend on saturday and sunday, for tonight enjoy that full moon, not a cloud in the sky, seasonably chilly and light winds out of the east-southeast 3 to 6 miles per hour with the air temperatures 28 to 37, the parade forecast couldn't be better, partly sunny light wind 3 to 6 miles per hour and great forecast for everyone in the parade, the spectators the fans and the balloon handlers and the fans, and at 10:00, 51 and noon temperatures rising to 60 degrees, as we look at friday, high pressure really bringing the southwesterly winds our way, in the morning we see low clouds and in the afternoon sun returns and turns mild near record high
