expressway expressway eastbound. he was unanimous accident that collided with another car. he was rushed to hahnemann university hospital in critical condition. that crash scene is cleared. new this this this hour, ad up partially in the cooper river in collingswood, new jersey. the man and woman were in the car hit a tree and went into the cooper river. the woman had to be rescued. the man got out on his own. they are being treated at cooper hospital. investigators say a couple were overcome by carbon monoxide, they were heating their home with an open oven. it's not certain if that was what sicken the the 78 an 80-year-old. a car allegedly fleeing police samed into a tree -- slammed into a tree in ridley

delaware county. police say it started as an argument between aman and a woman in nearby morton. the guy saw police and hopped in the car and took off. police went after him. after crashing the car he was taken to taylor memorial hospital. he is expected to survive and will face charges. now to the latest on the mass shooting san bernadino, california. isis though, has reportedly claimed on its radio station that the couple involved in the tragedy were supporters of the terror group. this comes as the focus of the fbi's investigation turns to the wife and how she came to live in america. in san bernadino last night a candle light vigil was held for the victims of the shooting. the names of the 14 people killed were read allowed that includes two men from the tri state region. brandy hit has more on the investigation from california.

>> reporter: this is our first look at tashfeen malik the mystery woman authorities suspect was the brains behind the san bernadino massacre. tashfeen malik and her husband syed rizwan farook bursting into a conference firing 65 rounds killing 14 people most of farook's colleagues. before the shooting, the mother went on facebook declaring her allegiance to isis. >> that's shocking. >> soon after she opened fire on the police and died with her husband in the shootout that followed. the question did she radicalize him. >> this is a federal terror investigation. >> reporter: the fbi said the shooters look like self starters. >> we have new indication that these killers are part of an organized larger group or formed part of a cell. >> reporter: federal agents tore apart the couple's home looking for evidence. inside remnants of what seemed like a typical family's life.

dirt dishes, baby toys and diapers and the crib of their 6-month-old daughter now a an orphan. >> they seemed like nice people. >> reporter: but this inventory lists dozens of boxes of amunition, 12 pipe bombs were left behind. the family warned against a rush of judgment. >> every single muslim leader said this is not not a muslim act. >> reporter: fbi is combing through electricon them -- electronics to see if they were conspiring with anyone. a major of americans support stricter laws, the poll was taken in october after 9 people were killed in a mass shooting. it shows 355% support stricter gun control laws, 86 favor a law

interviewed, but no arrests. a tanker truck goes up in flames on 295 in gloucester county. firefighters responded to the blaze in the northbound lanes near the route 322 exit in logan township. the truck was on the shoulder of the road. drivers taking a look while skirting by. investigators are working to learn the cause of that fire. turning to the latest on the mass shooting in coroner -- in southern california. unprecedented call for gun control. new york times is using space on its front page for an editorial calling for a change. you can see it right here. meanwhile, tashfeen malik is at the center of the fbi's investigation as the terror group isis claims that she and her husband were supporters of the terror group. an online post by tashfeen malik one of the alleged shooters helped shift the investigation. the fbi said just before the

attack, she made a pledge to isis on facebook using an ali alious. farook's mother who lived with the couple and their baby say they know little about malik. two cell phones were found in the dumpster near their apartment. fbi is scouring the phones and computers to approve they were radical sized. fbi said the evidence is there, but they added a word of caution. >> we are investigating this as an act of terrorism. >> so far we have no indication these killers are part of an organized larger group or form part of a cell. >> abc news reported that the pakistani address that tashfeen

malik listed on her visa application does not exist. however she passed several background checks. the state department is reviewing information provided. both were killed by police after allegedly murdering 14 people. abc news spoke with farook rasp sister and brother-in-law who said there was never any indication from the couple about their islamic extremist ideology and they're shocked that his wife pledges allegiance to isis. >> that is shocking, why would she do that? how would she know. >> she never mentioned anything -- they were great parents. >> yeah. >> they spent a lot of time with her, they kept to themselves a lot, they were a good couple. >> "action news" has learned that one of the victims of the

mass shooting was a pennsylvania native, 46-year-old harry bowman grew up in york county, the father of two daughters worked in california for more than 15 careers and co-worker of farook's at the san bernadino health department. bowman a devout roman catholic frequently taught religious classes. you can find information at 6abc.com, we'll be posting updates throughout the weekend. happening today, funerals will be held for the two people killed in the planned parenthood rampage in colorado. a mother and arm vet will be laid to rest in straight gatherings. gary swasey was shot while trying to help other officers. mourners honored his bravery and dedication to faith. he was a co-pastor at a church. extra security is being added at planned parenthood clinics

nationwide to prevent a cop cat. officer reid would help fix a broken down car or search for a lost dog during a shift. it is alleged shooter is under arrest. police say 30-year-old joseph becker had an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old female student. he is a teacher at pen ridge middle school. becker and the student exchanged photos and videos from july through november. >> teachers are entrusted with a responsibility, a very important responsibility of teaching children as they become young adults. this defendant abused his position.

>> investigators say becker always taught at three other schools they are asking any other victims to contact bucks county detectives. his bail has been set at $250,000. pennsylvania lawmakers are preparing for a weekend session as they try to end a 6 month long budget stalemate. the house and republican senate majority met separately behind closed doors. the sale mate is forcing -- the stalemate is forcing agencies to borrow money and layoff employees. meanwhile, lawmakers in new jersey are trying to help veterans with ptsd. it's a chance to talk about ptsd has affected their treatment in

the judicial system. the public hearing was put on a bye a task force created by the new jersey senate and general assembly. president obama signed a long term transportation funding bill that falls far short of what the administration wanted. the bill provides $305 billion over the 6 years to address the country's aging transportation system. obama wanted 400 billion. the lawmakers hailed this as a major accomplishment that will put an end to the last-minute short term fixes that has been the rule for the past 8 years. now, the race to the white house, donald trump is once again the frontrunner for the republicans. 36% of republicans support trump. his nearest competitor, ted cruz trails by 20 points. ben carson is in third place

tuesday, 56. a ton of rain, wednesday gray skies, rain, but we're up to 60 degrees, no snow whether those temperatures. yesterday it was cooler, but above average, 52. we're shooting for a high of 54 today above the seasonal average of 48. we started out at 35 which is where we should be for this time of year. 20 for just about everybody, the exception being the i-95 corridor. poconos 33, philadelphia 36, sea isle, 38 degrees. north western suburbs, lehigh valley anywhere from 12 to 15 degrees colder than the same time yesterday. so it is quite a shock to the system, compared to the last few days, you'll note the change, but again we're expecting warmer weather to move on through here during the course of the weekend. satellite and radar, very high, thin clouds to the west, they don't pose any threat to our weather. they should stay across the great lake states.

most of the eastern half of the united states you can go from the continental divide east there's nothing going on. we'll see a system jump the rockies over the next 48 hours, it will develop an area of low pressure here. as it marches east it will run into this high and fizzle out. temperatures all the cold appear to be up here across the arctic center because the winds are west 0 east, we have that upper level low sitting there and the pacific jet is roaring across north america. that keeps the air bottled up here, you can't get the colder air down here with the pacific air. there are signs the winds will shift in the northerly direction. we could allow for colder changes. the next week, 8, 9, ten days look mild. mild conditions for everybody east of the mississippi. tomorrow it's the same thing.
