4:00 p.m., 52. somewhere in between there we should hit our high of 54 degrees. it will get warmer as we head into monday and warmer still in the seven-day forecast. beautiful stretch of weather on the way, i'll have the details coming up in just a little bit. >> president obama will touch on the san bernadino shooting massacre in a prime time address from the white house tonight. the president will give an update on the investigation and outline his plan to defeat isis and other terrorists. isis said the alleged san bernadino shooters were supporters but nothing to indicate that the attack was coordinated by isis or any terrorists groups. a new raid went down next to the suspect's home. the fbi smashed windows and garage to get inside that neighbor's home. they come the man living there bought the assault rifles used in the shooting. the purchase was more than three years ago.

that man checked himself into a mental hospital after the shooting. the fbi does not consider him a suspect, but they want to talk to him. jeff chirico has more on the investigation. >> reporter: federal agents final lie moved the couple's bullet-ridden suv from the road where they died in a gun fight with police. the black getaway car chased by police cars past horrified bystanders. >> they are killing that guy. >> reporter: you can hear the shots as please engaged in a shootout with syed rizwan farook and tashfeen malik. just hours earlier the husband-wife team massacred 14 say christmas party. investigators say they tried to destroy their computers and cell phones be but the voice of one of the terrorists can be heard on the recording system. >> reporter: fbi is digging into malik's past in pakistan.

will cover the shooting and ensuing probe starting this morning at 8:00 a.m. after "action news." three people were stabbed in a london subway staiption. witnesses abu sayyaf the attacker shouted this is for syria. what he meant police have not clarified. police have conducted airstrikes on islamic targets in syria. three men are on the run while jumping out of the car after a chase by police, police have not said what caused the chase. the car ended up in the tasker home development where the men jumped out and ran into a wooded area on passyunk avenue. police say a kia hit a

chevy malibu on washington lane in east mount airy. the kia plowed into two parked cars, the malibu barreled into a parking lot and another suv that suv tapped the front of a convenience store. the 66-year-old in the malibu had to be rescued. the woman in the kia suffered minor injuries. a row -- revolt by rank and file house republicans may kill a budget deal. senate is planning to vote on the wolf-backed budget plan. there's no guarantee that the house will approve that plan. without house approval there's no budget. the deal worked out between wolf and republican leaders would hike the sales tax and change state pensions and allow private sales of liquor. the apparently deal breaker for house republicans is the sales

tax increase. quarterback sam bradford is expected to start this afternoon when the eagles play tom brady county patriots. a playoff berth is not out of sight. bradford is trying to focus on that. >> at the beginning of the season you set out to make the playoffs. we're going into week 12, week 13 here and we have an opportunity to do that. i don't think you can lose sight of that. >> the eagles are stoked for the challenge of containing tom brady. >> we've seen we can raise to the level of play. >> we're facing a great opponent this weekend, the eagles we'll have to be our best. >> "action news" jeff skeverski was there as the eagles arrived at their hotel. hear what some of the birds told him coming up. >> temple football team finds

>> new information just in on the plane scare for oscar winner morgan freeman. he was on a small plane that made an emergency landing in mississippi. the tire blew and the landing gear collapse and the plane slid off the runway during the landing. freeman was heading to texas from mississippi to shoot a segment for the series of story of god.

to show it again here what's going on with the pattern why it's been so warm over the past, actually it's been 45, to 60 days. we have an area of low pressure here,, winds blowing counter clockwise fashion here, that connects to the southeastern ridge or an area of high pressure right here, the wind blow in a clockwise fashion around the high. so, again with the low here and the high here, this is south southwesterly winds there's no arctic in this. all the cold air is bottled up to the north. the polar vortex is on the other side of the cold, you will not get any cold air with the pattern like that. over 89 next 3, 4 days, you have to go into canada to see any snow. with the jet stream looking like this, southwest and northeast it spells mild weather for us, it's

fans rushed the fans to celebrate the cougar's win over temple in the conference chip. the university of houston said it is extremely disappointed and angered with the guard's actions. the school is promising swift and appropriate action. >> the search is on for a shooter who gunned down a man on a germantown street. the man was shot twice in the back at 3:00 a.m. the 28-year-old was taken to einstein in critical condition. a car wanted in connection with the shooting crashed into a wall and whoever was inside got away. a good samaritan was hit and killed along i-95 in mercer county, new jersey. 54-year-old from toms river saw a hit-and-run in hamilton township. he got out of his car to help the person involved.

as he walked toward the victim, a pick up truck hit and killed him. that driver stayed on scene and will not face any charges. police are investigating the hit-and-run. an "action news" viewer sent us a video of a car fire in burlington county. police say the driver lost control of the car and hit a utility pole. the driver suffered non-life threatening injuries. bikers honored local heros who have passed away. you may have seen the motorcade making its way around the delaware valley. it was part of the tribute honoring 274 fallen police officers. hundreds of volunteers and police and family members came out to visit 54 cemetaries across the region. at each grave blue wreaths were laid to honor those who gave their lives doing their jobs. santa got a break from his busy schedule to help with a christmas tree lighting.

university camera beautiful view on a sunday morning. it's crystal clear and frosty and cold. it's allowed the temperatures to drop down. we're sitting in the 20s and 30s. the low for today 33. in some cases the temperatures what we're seeing in the outlying suburbs may double. 54 is what we are expecting for the high in the city. 24 in reading, they are expecting a high of 53. it will more than double in reading. cold start in allentown. 23. lancaster, 26. wilmington, 30. millville, 25. dover, 31. it's actually colder in the suburbs than it is in pittsburgh and buffalo and binghamton. 24, 30, 28. cold air across the mid atlantic. this is expected when you get an area of high pressure sitting over top of the region this time of the year. clear skies, calm winds, with a high over top it creates radiational cooling. that's a cooling process. it will allow the temperatures to drop off.

but the air warms just as quickly, by afternoon we'll get into the 50s. satellite and radar nothing going on except the huge high sitting over top 6 us, today and tomorrow that will keep us in the 50s, as we get into tuesday and wednesday pocket of cool air aloft that will push the high out to sea and the temperatures will cool down just a little bit by midweek. even that, even the cooler weather that will move in here still above average for this time of the year. there's that area of low pressure that will come out of the corn belt across the spine of the appalachians. it will hit the coast and redevelop off the coast of cape hatterus. it will push out to sea over the canadian maritimes. reading, 54, wilmington, 53. philadelphia shooting for 54. millville, 54.
