started at 2:30 on i-95 before going on to the schuylkill expressway and the chase getting off at passyunk exit. the men got out of the car and ran into a wooded area where officers lost track of them. hundreds of people came out to the delaware county toy drive to pay tribute to a local firefighter. organizers of the 19-year-old toy run dedicated the event to scott jones a marine and firefighter who was killed in an accident last week. trish hartman is live in uphandle with more. it's been a touching day and great tribute to the marine. santa claus and the rest of the delco cruisers will be here visiting with the kids in the pediatric ward. this is the 9th year for the toyed run it's called the holiday cruise for kids part of the toys for tots program. everyone brings an unwrapped toy

and police escort leads 100 cars and motorcycles to several local hospitals and the marine corps base. the event this year held a special meaning after the sudden death of a marine who was a delaware county first responder. 32-year-old scott jones, firefighter and paramedic and marine was killed last saturday in a car crash. he was laid to rest last week and hundreds of toys were donated at his funeral in his memory. >> the kind of effort he would put forth, supporting others, it doesn't matter, toys for tots, charity events he was there for people, near and dear to them, just the community as a whole. >> scot was a great guy, always smiling. he was part of a big family, one of 8 children.

yesterday's football game between temple and houston are subject of a police investigation. video shows the guards roughing up fans. it happened when the fans rushed the field to celebrate the win in the conference championship. the university said they were disappointed and angry with the guards' actions. they will provide swift and appropriate actions. temple fans find out if the loss keep the team from getting a decent bowl game.
