attack. >> that is right jim, ralph wilson thought the victim was being punched but realized the attacker had a 3 inch blade on them and help the victim who is now fighting for his life. surveillance videos capture the moments before this man stabbed a 23-year-old running by. >> i saw someone running in and he fell when i went out to try and help him. >> i thought the guy was punching him but he wasn't purging him he was stabbing him. >> ralph wilson works at the river watch apartments. >> i hollered hey cut that out. he just stopped and walked away, like he didn't have a care in the world. >> a short time later police were called to 21st and arch, where the suspect described as wearing a black hoody holding a plastic bag allegedly struck again this time a 42-year-old

avenue and while no definitive identification is announced. it appears that the family of the apparent victim is trying to cope with their new real et. walter perez has the latest from the scene. >> she always tried to help someone. she was very caring. >> that is how 15-year-old alexis describes her twin sister, nicole, who disappeared two weeks. the body of a young female was discovered here yesterday afternoon. they have not identified the remains but regardless her older sister says no doubt it is nicole. >> this was the last house she was seen in hanging out with friends. >> drivers searching the outside pool and investigators have come and gone and they were searching a dumpster a half block away and

robert taylor says this investigation is not over yet. >> it's a long process gathering a lot of evidence, it's going to take us hours and hours to get this done before we are finished up. >> meantime, her sister says despite minor run-ins with the law and under orders to report in to her probation officer, nicole was devoted to her friends and family. >> loved her she was funny and sweet and and we walked everywhere together, we loved going to the beach. >> we were really close and best friends. >> neighbors say this home is vacant since this past summer and they say that local teenagers are using it as a hangout for the past several weeks, people have been questioned but so far no word tonight of suspects or arrests linked to this case. reporting from middle township new jersey, walter perez,

channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. the jury will begin slib rations tomorrow in the case of katherine knott, she is charged in taking part on an assault against a gay couple in philadelphia. nott took the stand in her own defense, she ran to the fight initially to try to defuse it but didn't strike anybody. the attack left one man with a broken jaw and facial injuries, knott faces several years in prison if convicted . someone left raw meat in a newspaper on top of a flyer with muslim lettering. john rawlin has has the details here. >> reporter: the basic facts are not in dispute.

facility and investigators have not said yet why they were executed the search or if arrests were made. the philadelphia chapter of the naacp plans to fight legislation that protects the identity of police officers. president rodney muhammad spoke out against bill 1538 today, the bill calls for officers involved in shootings or those that use force to remain anonymous unless they are charged with a crime. muhammad says the law would create trust and hurt community relations between police and the public. >> it will end transparency, that is a frightening thing for the public when it comes to our own safety. number two, it will cast a cloud on good police and good policing. >> the bill has passed in the house and is expected to pass in the senate. philadelphia police commissioner charles ramsey has opposed the

hotel opens tomorrow. it closed in june at 1 logan square, it features 400 rooms and the logan is decorated by artwork for local painters and sculptures. the local car service uber is expanding its program into another south jersey township, it offers township residents free rides in evesham. it extends in voorhees township as well. and the townships will then pay the fare. the fram hads helped to reduce the number of drunk driving arrested. an $800,000 project is complete and a 1.6 million gallon water tank is ready to be pressed back into service in voorhees and nora muchanic is outside and inside today. you have seen water tanks in

towns like this all over and ever wonder what it is like inside of these massive structures, i got the chance to step into this 1 million gallon task that new jersey water just rehabbed. the empty space inside is cavernous. >> it has to be rubbed down and sand blasted and go through a complex process of painting and coating. >> one coat on the inside and one super thick coat on the outside. this was last painting in 19 3. >> as long as you maintain it the pretty much the life span is forever. >> this water tank is one of many it has in the burlington camden area, it takes treat the river water and describe outs it locally.

16th and locust in sensteer philadelphia, police are monitoring a group of demonstrators winding their way through parts of center city, the group assembled at 5:00 at dillworth park outside of city hall and at the height of the rush hour began walking along the retail stretch of walnut street, during the march, they entered stores and shouted their cause, but caused no damage. now at 16th and locust and traffic is being held up and emergency vehicles are on the scene making sure that the peace is not disturbed. according to police radio, the demonstrators are protesting in support of freddie gray. lets go to the accuweather forecast meteorologist, cecily tynan. >> cooling things down a bit jim and tracking rain on thursday.
