north of 95, trenton and mercer county and the split of 72 and can you see the areas of yellow that is the heavier rain working quickly to the southwest and north and east. it is still a wet drive for most of us here during the start of the evening rush hour, as we look at the double scan live radar there say break before the front comes in and the bulk of that precipitation working in from southern new england and it's quickly racing in from the south unwest. as we look at what to expect here through the next 12 hours, the rain should clear philadelphia within the next hour and the coast by 7:00 with some lingering clouds this evening and maybe a scattered shower. and winds kick up from the westerly direction and that helps to slowly drop the temperatures as we get into the end of the week on friday and especially by saturday. right now it's mild with that rain at 57 degrees, but look to the north and west and there is

katherine scott is live at the scene with the very latest. >> reporter: investigators are getting ready to wrap up for the afternoon because they are losing the light and crews are here tearing down the debris and making it seem more stable for this investigation, they are trying to determine the cause of this fire and investigating the previous one and they say it's too early to know if last night's fire is suspicious. >> it's sad, really sad, the new jerusalem baptist church is standing since the 1960s a staple of this wilmington community. but today heavy equipment was brought in to move debris brought in from a devastating fire last into to clear the way for investigators determine the cause. the church had already made strides to rebuild after a fire in the past weeks.

>> it cleaned them out to get ready to renovate the whole church. yesterday i was here and it was look going. >> the fire broke out at 7:00 last night and firefighters were met with heavy flames that tore through the church damaging six nearby homes and the damage was confined to the basement and last night's damage was total. the pastors and church say that they must rebuild. the killing in this community need to be here. we want to come back bigger and better than ever before. operations are wrapping up here for the day because they are losing the light but we are told that investigators are will be back out here to continue their work trying to determine the cause of this fire and there is a crew here throughout the night to make sure the scene stays secure. live in wilmington, katherine

scott, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. we are following breaking news out of california this afternoon as the first charges are filed in the san bernardino shooting, a law enforcement official confirming to abc news that enrique marquez a neighbor and friend of one of the shooters is arrested in connection with the investigation. taking a look at him, allegedly supplying two of the guns supplied during the brutal attack that left 14 people dead and injured 20 others, the nature of the arrest and the charges he faces are not immediately known but officials have said that they believe that one of the gunmen syed farook asked marquez to buy the two assault rifles two years ago. >> if he says that he bought the weapons because he thought

farook could not pass the background tests, he would be a straw purchaser. >> he did admit to purchasing the two ar 15's and plotting a separate attack on a high school with farook in 2012, an attack they never carried out. today he has been arrested in connection with the mass shootings in san bernardino and we'll continue to follow the details this afternoon. >> alicia thank you. in other news, a police officer is recovering after being injured in a crash this morning, the action cam was on the 300 block of lancaster avenue in wayne, the motorcycle officer was working a funeral when he was hit, he was working as an escort. the other vehicle involved stayed on the scene and investigators are still piecing together exactly what happened here. >> a philadelphia born rapper is back in center city trying to

avoid being put back in jail and there are a number of high-profile celebrities ready to come to meek mill's defense. john rawlin has the latest. >> reporter: well a probation hearing last week he is no stranger to this kind of hearing, he was charged with a gun crime and served probation and now ordered to take an anger management course and have drug and alcohol training. >> he is meek mills and in the courtroom he is 28-year-old robert williams fighting to stay on probation and out of jail, the alligation he violated probation by traveling to out of state concerts without alerting his probation officer, in the courtroom his girlfriend nickie minaj testified while he can be

patience. live in center city, john rawlins, channel 6 "action news." >> firefighters were called out to the 200 block of south 13th street this morning, flames were shoot ougt of the third floor of the building there you can see the frame of the window is charred and no one was injured and the cause is still under investigation. a group of soldiers is being credited with stopping an armed robber in his tracks in pemberton county, he walked into a cvs with a large knife in his hand on sunday and had his face covered and demanded money from the cashier and they jumped into action confronting the would be robber and he ran and they caught him and held him down until the police arrested him. matt pellman is here in the traffic center, it's a challenge not that it isn't every day, especially this afternoon matt. >> good point for sure, the rain is stopping the evening commute

the price of a drug used to treat aids patients is under arrest for securities fraud and other crimes but this latest case has nothing to do with the drug company. an indictment unsealed says that michael xrely used a company's stock to settle debt from his now defunct hedge fund and was dubbed the most hated man in america when he bought the rights to the drug and raised it from $7.50 to 750 per pill. and now ash carter acknowledged he used the private email address to do business the first few months on the job he calls this a mistake and one he made a couple of times, he copied them to an official account, that is in compliance

story. philadelphia police need your help getting a dangerous criminal off the streets today. east detectives released this video showing a man walking towards the intersection of franklin and hunting yesterday, seconds late he pulled out a gun and opened fire shooting several rounds at a chrysler 300, fortunately nobody was hit or struck. police are looking for a man caught breaking into cars in south philadelphia, service cameras captured the suspect casing the 2700 block of south 16th street back on december 2nd, within minutes he is seen walking down south ban croft street with several bags of stolen goods. a chester county road is back open following a nasty head-on crash, it happened on web road in downingtown and chopper 6 hd was at the scene

that continues to fall and how much fell, we are closing in on an inch in philadelphia and trenton and the lehigh valley and a decent soaking this thurt and between a half inch and as much as an inch at the shore, pretty uniform with this section of far western lancaster county and burkes county with less than a half inch. the bulk of the rain is moving into new england and new jersey and southern delaware and that continues its jurnlgy to the north and east and a nice break from the central part of pennsylvania and to the pike in washington and baltimore. behind the front the wins kick up here on friday and especially saturday and temperatures drop along with windchills. it's 33 in chicago and below freezing in green bay. and international falls, a rarity coming in this weekend with an actual feeling of winter and december, and again it doesn't lost long, we are talking about records to be broken again somewhere in the

there she was flagged at security and taken into custody, deputies told her her finger printses were an identical match to the woman on her left, wanted for identity theft but her husband has signed time cards that prove his wife was working in san jose at the time and that is not the only thing that doesn't add up. the picture doesn't match and the social security doesn't match and birthdays don't match. >> side by side, chapman gave up an adoption in 2002 using a stolen name and his wife had her tubes tied in 1989. and a judge is slated to hear her case tomorrow. a state trooper's acts were caught on camera. police spotted an out of control

it sexist, and sending a message that women shouldn't speak, the mom says it's a joke she got the idea on pinterest, calling the comments disheartening, let us know what you think. >> now to an ocean county high school where a dance battle is getting heated. last friday at manchester township high school students took to the hallways for a dance off, six students got suspended after the principal said she were disturbing the peace and that escalated and students refused to stop dancing in the hallways and more students getting suspended. so that is what is happening in the hallways here, the school says it's not against dancing, they have dances all the time the principal telling me you can see the battles are blocking the hallways and drawing crowds and

effecting safe passage for other students, and the students that were dancing say free wbwa, that means white boys with attitude and the principal tells me go ahead and dance but wait until after class or during organized events. finally my worry some parents will get this, everybody else may be on dad's side here. mom is going away for two nights leaving dad alone with the 3-month-old baby so she leaves a note with a few instructions for dad, hers are the typed words and dad wrote tongue in cheek notes, and his rewrite on re redditt is going viral.

the traffic front, here we go, live at the schuylkill expressway doesn't look like the most pleasant experience on this thursday afternoon, it's very wet and very slow, and we had a crash in the westbound lanes of montgomery drive, 52 minutes, should be 14 on the westbound travel time and that is the case across the board this afternoon, really slow speeds and really long travel times and other issues on the big picture, a crash at wynnewood and one by belmont and bala cynwyd, the tacony palmyra bridge was up but now it's down. it was for a southbound ship and a closure in west mt. airy, the lincoln drive shut down in both directions because of a crash at rittenhouse, wayne avenue is an alternate. and issues again with late running construction at city

city region west of philadelphia and most of delaware at this point and the rain has stopped and that is the trend as we get into eastern new jersey over the next hour or two, the rain is letting up in time for the second half of the rush hour, as we look at double scan live radar here is the city we can see media now and the rain is ending and we'll race across philadelphia by 5:00 and as we go into new jersey, still an area is of steady, heavy rain near medford lakes in tabernacle and off into ocean county and ending within the next half hour to 40 minutes, temperatures are mild, 56 in philadelphia and 58 in millville and 55 down the shore where the rain as ended temperatures in the lower 50s and in the poconos all rain this go around with temperatures in the upper 40s and the bulk of the rain in southern new england and off the coast and baltimore is drying out and the cold front is west of pittsburgh and scattered showers along the

front, the steady rain ends and clouds linger and could be a spitting shower or two during the early part of the overfight hours, 42 to 45, still mild as these temperatures are close to the daytime highs that is the average for this time of year. and as we get into friday, low pressure just south of new england, the front heads off the coast and the last to clear is the shore and we look at clouds giving way to sunshine in the afternoon and northwesterly winds kicking up at 10 to 20 miles per hour with some lake-effect snow showers in parts of the great lakes and even into the northern part of pennsylvania near the new york border and on saturday, it is very blustery and chilly and winds near 35 miles per hour and that high temperature of 42 not going feel like 42 and in fact first thing on saturday morning, feeling like 19 and 22 philadelphia and find all the winter gear even in the afternoon at 3:30, feeling below
