the island in the indian ocean. the suspected diswies was found in the bathroom. the plane was carrying 459 passengers and 14 crew members. bomb experts have removed the suspected device from the plane and examining it. happening today, services for a wilmington church that endured a devastating fire will be held at another location. the new jerusalem baptist church was destroyed on wednesday. atf is trying to determine what caused the fire. it was the second fire this month at the church. services will be held at the make a foundation, in wilmington, at 10:00. a man was killed as he walked home in somerton section. a 20-year-old driver hit the man, the vehicle hit another car.

the man was rushed to the hospital where he pronounced dead. both drivers stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. from our delaware newsroom, a white police officer seen on video kicking a black suspect in the head breaking his jaw returns to the force. dover police chief said corporal thomas webster will return on paid administrative leave. earlier this month a jury acquitted him of assault. he testified that he didn't mean to kick the suspect in the head, he was aiming for his upper body instead. funeral plans have been announced for the new jersey state trooper killed in a car crash last week. a funeral will be held for trooper eli mccarson on wednesday. mccarson was killed when his car slammed into a utility pole

in salem county. he was just 30 years old. three people are dead following a fiery crash on a northeast philadelphia road, let's go to trish hartman live on the scene with all the details. trish? >> reporter: eva a lot of police and firefighters still on screen here what has been described as an upsetting scene on torresdale avenue. you can take a look at the fire trucks and beyond that you can see a mangled car that police say crashed into a tractor-trailer. cops are not letting the people down the hill on torresdale saying they are dealing with a haz/mat situation, they are cleaning up pesticides that spilled from a tractor-trailer. it happened about 2:45 a.m., a car driving northbound on torresdale avenue was speeding lost control after crossing rhawn street and crashed into a parked tractor-trailer.

we have viewer video that we're going to take a look at, showing the flames, the passenger car burst into flames, fuel from the truck spilled into the street and caught another tractor-trailer on fire. police say all three people in the car died, despite rescue attempts by police and firefighters. >> they found the tractor-trailer fully engulfed in flames. subsequent to that, the vehicle behind me also was engulfed, as well, engulfed in flames. witnesses on the scene said you could hear people screaming from inside the car and attempted to render aid to them, but he couldn't get to the vehicle due to the flames. >> reporter: no word from police on the identity of the victims. torresdale avenue is closed where it crosses the pennypack creek, as officials continue to investigate and clean up the scene. live in northeast philadelphia,

trish hartman channel 6 "action news." eva? >> thanks, trish. a police officer shot and killed a man in the emergency room at the harvard university center in los angeles. the man was treated for minor injured after getting injured in a confrontation with police at an apartment complex. while they tried to handcuff him, he attacked them with a metal school and went for his gun. during the fight officers shot him. police investigate a shooting inside a mall packed with shoppers. a 19-year-old man was shot in the leg when gunfire broke out at east town mall. the mall was temporarily locked down after the shooting. the shooting was the result of a fight of several young men in the heart of the crowded mall. the budget stalemate continues in harrisburg, a deal to end it collapsed keeping the
