car tried to make a right from 49th street on to gray's avenue and hit the trolley head-on, both men in the stolen car are in the hospital in critical condition and they are both under arrest. there are 26 passengers on the trolley at the time, vernon odom has more details on the stolen car and the suspects, and he'll have a live report coming up at 4:30, this is 54-year-old harry lawrence of yardley, charged with multiple counties of sexual abuse in a case that investigators call disturbing, it started decades ago and is developing today. lawrence's wife owned little joy's day care out of their home in bristol and then falls township. victims now in their 20s are coming forward saying that lawrence who had full access to that day care molested them

while in their wife's care. >> just watching the interview with the predator, you can see that he manipulated the victims, like the classic pedophile would, and had open access to numerous, numerous kids. >> the couple is now divorced and that day care has since been closed and more victims are coming forward. police tell us today if anyone has any information or wants to come forward with their story to please give them a call, it's a very open investigation, right now lawrence is held on $250,000 bail in bucks county. >> all right alicia, thank you. right now in newcastle, the bodies of americans killed in a suicide bombing in afghanistan this week, are being delivered to their families, that includes staff sergeant peter taub, a native of wincoat and graduated from ltenham high school in

2004. for a few hours this morning there was hope in harrisburg that after six months of negotiations, pennsylvania will finally have a budget but this afternoon the deal has since fallen apart with the state house and senate at odds over what should happen next. iraq sent more troops to the city of ramadi today as they try to retake the town from isis, reep enforcements are taking the neighbor adds they captured it's sunni fighters trained by the united states and iraq lost control of it earlier this year, if they are able to retake it will be the first major victory not involving kurd or shiite fighters. amnesty international says they have killed 200 civilians instead. russians strikes are a serious failure of international law and may amount to war crimes, they came into area where there were no military target targets pres here at the big board now, the latest on vote 2016, the new

two dozen people in southwest philadelphia, this after a stolen suv slammed into a septa trolley on grays avenue sending 200 people to the hospital, but the most serious injuries were reserved for the driver of the suv and his passengers. vernon odom is live outside of hahnemann hospital where the injures were taken. >> reporter: sharrie, passengers from the route 36 trolley that were injured in that mishap this morning are still being treated here at hahnemann for injuries they sustained in southwest philadelphia, the passenger in the stolen suv remains in grave condition at this hour. at 9:00 a.m. the driver of this stolen suv lost control going at high speeds and ran into this septa trolley, his passenger in the white hyundai is now

hospitalized and may not survive and the driver is hospitalized at this hour. i talked to some passengers from the 36 trolley and they talk about their horrifying experience. >> it was a very, very loud boom and crash and all of us we just all were so hurt, i hit my face and fell forward, i mean i am really sore and just pray that the people in the other car are living, because it scared everybody. >> he is a big jerk. and slide up in the seat before me and hit my face on the window. >> everybody was flying around? >> yes. >> and they hurried up and rushed us off the trolley. >> reporter: the driver was taken to the hospital for treatment and released.

septa officials would not let him comment on the accident in southwest philadelphia this morning. sharrie, assuming he survives, the driver of that stolen suv will face multiple charges when he is able to face them and go to court. car theft, assault on 30 different passengers on that septa trolley and murder if his friend and passenger in this vehicle dies. i'm vernon odom, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. all lanes of the atlantic city expressway should be back open shortly following a deadly crash in hammonton, new jersey state police say that a tractor trailer flipped and then a car struck the truck, the driver of the tractor trailer was pronounced dead at the scene but it's not clear if the death was due to the accidents or an unrelated medical condition, the other driver was not seriously

injured. convicted child molester, jerry sandusky is about to get a big check from the state of philadelphia, the court ordered that the state employment system acted illegally when they stopped his pension, he is about to get $200,000. the former penn state coach is serving a lengthy sentence for sexually abusing ten boys. $7.90 worth of items could cost him his $38,000 a year job, that is how much ashton funk stole from a wawa back in august in august, a judge convicted funk of shoplifting and that means he could lose his job, this despite the fact he was not on duty at the time of the offense and it's judge will rule

a firefighter in chip is recovering from a few minor burns today a pretty remarkable fact when you see what he actually survived. cell phone video shows the first responders scrambling out of a burning apartment building and his suit engulfed in flames, the firefighter tried to scale the drain pipe and tumbled to the

the umbrella. stormtracker 6 live double scan showing that we have a solid wall of rain over us and it's really heavy right now in cape may, reeds beach and garden state parkway moving up to the north and ocean city is on the edge of that, and this is pushing in and there is more rain on the way and philadelphia now we are not looking at the reds and yellows but the greens and this is a moderate rain and it continues through the evening hours and after midnight is when it all tapers off, temperature-wise it's a warm rain, 63 in philadelphia, the record high for this date is 66 and i think we are beat that record tonight. allentown 67 and millville 63 and wilmington 57 degrees, the problem is not only the rain but also visibility, we are not looking at widespread fog but patches of low visibility, wilmington reporting visibility of a half mile and dover 1.7 miles, you will want to take it

easy and slow things down tonight because it's tough traveling, stormtracker 6 live double scan showing we are not the only ones, we are dealing with the rain but in the midwest, you see the squall line, this is producing severe weather with tornado watches and warnings and north of that system it's pulling down enough cold air they are getting snow near minneapolis, we are not getting that snow but the rain and the fog and the record warmth, 8:00 tonight we see steady rain north of philadelphia, south of philadelphia beginning taper off. 68 degrees at 7:00 a.m., not just the warm of the christmas eve on record but the warmest december day on record, average high is 42, the record for christmas eve, 64 we set that
